~British Soul~
Number 104: Masquerade Magician Shining Spellcaster/Xyz/Effect 3 Level 4 monsters During the Battle Phase, when your opponent activates a monster effect: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate that effect, and if you do, inflict 800 damage to your opponent. Once per turn: You can send the top card of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard. Number C104: Masquerade Magician - Umbral Spellcaster/Xyz/Effect 4 Level 5 monsters When this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy it. While this card has "Number 104: Masquerade Magician - Shining" attached to it as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect. • Once per turn, when your opponent activates a monster effect: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate that activation, and if you do, send 1 random card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard, then halve your opponent's Life Points. discuss
White Void
Limited Barian's Force now can summon a 3000 beatstick that destroys a spell/trap on summon just cause. Of the three RUMs, I'd say Limited is definitely the best since almost all the Over-Hundred Numbers (besides 107) seem to be Rank 4 making their CNo. forms Rank 5. The 104 Material Effect for C104 is the definition of overkill. Not sure how to feel about regular 104.

Northern Sage
Well, that solves the deck destruction mystery. Interesting what the "Shining" and "Umbral" themes might signify.
evilfusion
104 is meh, but C104...oh my god. Negate the activation of a monster effect, send a card from opponent's hand, and HALVE THEIR LP?!

Sora1499
On one hand, RUM is kinda cool and I want it to see some play. On the other, the Chaos Xyz is fucking insane.

Aerion Brightflame
The Chaos Numbers staff reminds me of Sanguine's from Skyrim. OT: That Chaos number OMW.... I mean, does that make something like Hunder's more competive? Seriously, all that is needed at this point is for a RUM searcher and suddenly a semi-competive deck can be born. The regular Xyz is bad though. And an obvious Utopia counter.

TheKaitoKid
And this is what YGO has devolved into. Just gonna come out, pop your only means of protection, oh what's that veiler on one of my other monsters? No! Bad player, send this card to the graveyard and now halve your Life Points. That'll show ya. OT: No seriously, this is crazy.
Blake
I don't get it, why is everyone saying Shining is bad? It stops Gorz, Ryko, Tragoedia, Floaters, etc. and is an insurance policy on a 2700 body. Sure, it's not the first choice for a 3 Material Rank 4, but it's certainly NOT bad for what you play. I intend to run it in Hunders because it DOES have applications in general, and you're not required to summon it at any given time. The applications of RUMing it just makes it all the more pleasing. evilfusion
Shining isn't "bad" so much as it's easy to overlook. It's needed to make C105 completely insane, and that insanity draws people's attention more. Shining's effect is just a bit mediocre, because it only stops opponent Monster Effects during the Battle Phase and deals 800 damage. That's actually not too bad, just maybe not worth 3 Level 4 monsters. And I just noticed Shining's mill effect is not related to Overlay Units at all. But the mill is so paltry it won't really matter anyway.

Resident Fascist
It will never be banned ._. Because a card that basicially is a built-in breaker, has 3k attack, can have 4 or more materials for it's effect, rapes hands and negates monsters, causes rediculous burn on top, is a spellcaster, conviently giving it a bunch of various SC support, DARK for even more support and is compatable with Gaia Charger all in 1 card is perfectly and totally fine. Are we forgetting how good Dolkaa was? Yes, this is harder to summon, I am aware of this.
