Toffee.
Pay 1000 Life Poits = Win the DuelThe saying "Put up or shut up" comes into play here. If putting it to 1 would be that broken, then show us how it would be. Give us a quantitative mathematical description of how a deck with 1 Chaos Emperor in it would even be remotely feasible, even in the most casual of circumstances. What is the raw probability of this card occurring? How susceptible is it to interruption from the opponent? Cards are innocent until proven guilty, the burden of proof is on those advocating its ban. So far, no one has actually given a quantitative reason for why Chaos Emperor shouldn't be legal. If you give one and it is mathematically sound, then sure, I'll be the first to concede your point and commend you for it.Discuss. I'll lock this topic myself, later

Sora1499
Trooper needs to stop being so fucking dense. This can rot in the fires of the banlist forever. Game nuke for almost no dedication whatsoever on top of massive burn. Nope.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
E-Drags OTK you before you can pull this off, back to 3 please. Oh, and let's bring back Raigeki. The top-tier Decks can recover from that very easily. Srsbsns: I don't really get what Konami was thinking back then when they decided to make a 3k body that had a pretty easy-to-achieve Graveyard setup, and then give it this sort of absurd effect instead of letting only Kaiba have the KILL EVERYTHING effect. Back then, this without an effect would have probably been good enough, since effect destruction wasn't in every corner of the duel.
Aerion Brightflame
Haha.... I was actually thinking he'd try this next as well. OT: It's broken, and will never return. However getting £50 and a most of a Tele-Grand deck for this thing felt so so nice.
Just Crouton
If you give one and it is mathematically sound MATHEMATICALLY speaking, it's a 3000 body and a topdeck. MATHEMATICALLY speaking, it can reset the opponent's field when they have the field/hand advantage by paying a measly 1000 LP, effectively causing more damage than Judgment Dragon. MATHEMATICALLY speaking, pretty much any deck can run this without dedication. MATHEMATICALLY speaking, people should stop trying to argue that banned cards should be allowed to come back. MATHEMATICALLY speaking, I can now divide by 0 using this bizarre energy I discovered lingering in my room. It feels familiar...MATHEMATICALLY speaking. Agro
Mathematically, it's a Dark Hole, Heavy Storm, Wind-Up Loop, and 10+-cards-in-one version of chain burn that gets around Zenmaines, Gachi, Maestroke, can't be stopped by Dress, Lance or other destruction negation, is really only worried about Warning, Judgment, or BTH, and also happens to have 3000 ATK. Yeah. Totally reasonable @1.
evilfusion
3000 ATK with absurdly easy Summoning Conditions that can come out of nowhere. For a mere 1000 LP, both players' Field and hands become 0. To add insult to injury, the opponent takes 300 damage for each card sent. ...uh...yeah, the card's broken. Obviously. TheKaitoKid
I can totally see Konami bringing this back @1. Especially since they're trying to sell the whole Dragons vs Spellcasters thing. It'd be a sad day indeed.

Synchronized
Idk, it could come to 1; you can just main 3 Horn of Heaven.
Sunshine Jesse
I don't think any monster (I remember) has surpassed this card in sheer OP since it was made. Guy's question is dumb to me anyway, if a card is broken it's broken no matter how often you can pull it off.
Master of Sabers
What is worse? This? Or Judgement Day? I've seriously seen legitimate discussions over this question...
TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Overall, I still feel this is the most broken banned card.
Just Crouton
What is worse? This? Or Judgement Day? _____ Well, to answer a question with a question, which can be ran in most decks, especially decks that aren't centered around it, and requires only itself to unfairly screw the opponent for (possibly) the rest of the game for just a small amount of Life Points? Sunshine Jesse
Overall, I still feel this is the most broken banned card. I think Exchange of the Spirits is worse DSF is almost as bad
玄魔の王
I think Exchange of the Spirits is worse DSF is almost as bad EotS would be worse now, because it can replace Magical Explosion in the Junk Collector Deck. DSF may or may not be as bad as CED at 1.
