hello everybody i know im late but i think this card seem realistic for yugioh

 

I saw a newbie posting in Rules and I was like "Oh cool, a new kid who won't be terribly nooby and do all sorts of stuff he shouldn't do..." D:

 

You're not supposed to be posting cards here. Make your own topic and post a card. And when you do post a card, don't use an attachment, cuz we don't accept that here. Just cuz.

 

As for the card itself, it's way overpowered and it's bad design. It's a +2 that stays on the field to +2 on your next turn. Granted, it's a Gemini Monster, however, it is a Level 4 monster, which easily can be Special Summoned. An example of another Gemini Monster that Special Summons would be Giga-plant, but that's a Level 6 Gemini Monster, and it can only Special Summon 1 monster and only from your hand or Graveyard, comparing these two, this card is wayyyyy overpowered. I could go on more, but I'm too lazy and this isn't even the right place for it.

Okay, thought I'd ask this again since I never really got an answer. So how does the Leaderboard interact with the rules? I mean, do you consider it a contest? If you do, does it count towards the 1 contest limit? It's a gray area tbh, and I would like to host a 1v1 tournament for the Leaderboard if I'm able to.

I was thinking, instead of just instant lock, give them 24 hours to make up their mistakes. I would think that it would be annoying to have your card locked just like that, but it's the mods that decide this of course.

I only lock threads that are offensive in 2+ ways, have no cards, have an offensive title as the new rule dictates, or are part of the bad design rule.

No, it does not count to the limit and is not a contest.

What do you not understand?

Click your card in the cardmaker, then copy and paste the link from it.

And don't use such obnoxious font and sizing.

Suggestion: A sticky in all the CC sections about how to properly post cards. Considering the CC sections are the sections that have the repeated issue of people posting attachments, and new members not knowing where to go to learn how to properly post cards (I've been here 5 years and still don't know where it is,) it's convenient (and sensible) for new members to have instructions in the sections where cards are posted so they don't spam Questions and Whatever/here/status bar/ etc. to find out how to do it.

So I posted something following the rules and guidelines but it got deleted, I legitimately was serious about the card, so I don't understand the point of using this forum if I can't post anything without getting ridiculed or frowned upon by an admin you dislikes something.

While the official rules have yet to be updated, threads are now moved to AoC instead of locked for being dreadful design. You can remake it, but if it doesn't change from the issues that are inherently wrong with it, which were laid out, it will just be locked and your chance blown. Being serious a phony a card doesn't mean jack when you're serious about making a card detrimental to the idea of a multiplayer game.

I don't know if this would be possible, but I had this idea. So, the first time somebody posts in RC, when they click on the "Start New Topic", then they would be sent to the RC rules page so they had no excuse for not following them? I still see tons and tons of people not doing this, even some of the people who have been posting for a while don't follow those rules. Just a suggestion, not sure if it would be possible, since I know that this forum thing is not the easiest for you people to change a whole lot in.

It has been considered before, but we weren't sure.

Well, if it would be at least somewhat of a possibility, I support it fully. Though, there are of course other things that are more important and worth the time and effort, than this.

I got a question, when counting towards the word count in the Advanced Clause, for Gemini, Union etc. does the normal text you will see those cards count? Also, if the Archetype features a repetitious clause seen on almost every card, such as Dragon Rulers, Madolche, Harpies, Mecha Phantom Beasts etc. does that count? It becomes hard to comment on cards without repeting yourself when you see Archetypes like this:

 

""Gnasty Goo" monsters you control cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn, when a "Gnasty Goo" monster is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy that target.

 

"Gnasty Goo" monsters you control cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn, when a "Gnasty Goo" monster is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; negate that targets effects

 

""Gnasty Goo" monsters you control cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn, when a "Gnasty Goo" monster is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; change that target into face-down Defense Position.

 

Also, does Materials count? And what you see on Fusion Monsters and on Ritual Monsters sometimes?

We stated that the effect counts towards the Advanced Clause. Not conditions. Basically, repetitive clauses (such as on Toons, Geminis, etc) that are inherent of the actual subtype do not count toward the clause. The same as material requirements. A lot of people might not understand what I'm trying to say, but if you don't then you can just do all of it. :v
