Number 11: Big Eye

Recommended Posts

One site selling this literally jumped $20 higher when LTGY was released. And it was originally selling for about $100. And I gathered this is CHEAP.

And then I was sad when I pulled Card Car D from a GAOV pack. Well, Card Car is awesome and still worth something, but there's a different GAOV Secret I'd have wanted.

An absurdly expensive card, but for good reason. It's in need of a reprint, but we may as well wait until E-Dragons get hit somehow before then.

I assume he stole two of those Big Eyes from his opponent. To be honest, I think a situation like that is only possible in mirror matches; how many people run more than 2? I don't like Big Eye, but a single stunt like this isn't one of the reasons.

I really am not affected by the card (E-Dragons make Dragossack against me way more often than Big Eye), but I blame how stupid Konami made E-Dragons when they gave them ridiculously easy summoning conditions that work in the hand or grave (stupid Dragon-Type in the clause that shouldn't be there).

No, he's playing 5 Big Eye...

Most E-Drag decks do run 3 because there's so much space int he extra Deck and Big Eye/Dragosack is pretty much all you ever need to go into.

The original idea, that you overlay 2 big boss monsters such as Machina Fortress or High Priestess is fine, the issue came when you could gte level 7s on the board so easily with Mermails/E-Drags. Should go to 1 anyone just so Big Eye wars don't happen. they're so stupid.

It's questionable design yes, but it's been broken by a deck that shouldn't exist. Without Incarnates, it goes back to being fine as a card.

I'm not sure if I'd say the card is fine after you yourself said it was "questionable design", but the problem is definitely Elemental Dragons. Even Mermail and Prophecy actually have to give something up to make this thing; Elemental Dragons can make this as a +1, and that's not cool. As is, Big Eye Wars are my Number 1 (pardon the pun) reason to run Master of Blades.
