If your opponent leaves two or more monsters of the same level out at the same time, well, they had it coming. If they only control 1, then it's a worse version of Mind Control. If you don't have the intelligence to Xyz them if you suspect your opponent might have this card then yes, perhaps you should. Card is fine how it is. I doubt it would even see much if any play. This is basically a Xyz version of Soul Exchange plus its not stupid as their is one flaw which is that your opponent has to have a monster suitable for you to Xyz with level, Type and Attribute wise. It'd be considered karmic justice that your opponent had 2 or more monsters of the same Level on the Field when you get this card, and they deserve to lose those monsters and you get a +2 Xyz? And that's assuming you ONLY used their monsters. If this card only let you use your opponent's monsters, and not yours too, then it'd be much more conditional, but still not FAIR. Soul Exchange required you to actually have something to Tribute Summon in hand, or a card effect that Tributes. This card would let you bring out a monster from the Extra Deck, and being a Spell makes it more valuable than a Trap, which is the problem that Synchro Material had: It being a Trap was no help whatsoever without Urgent Tuning or similar, plus the other downsides. Card is ridiculous the way it is. If it was released, I think it'd be better to limit it to only 1 Material from the opponent (which still would be extremely powerful), and it'd probably have a side effect such as skipping your battle phase or being unable to use the Xyz's effects, and definitely a "once per turn" restriction on the card name. If we assume the opponent only has 1 monster with a Level out, then this card is a worse version of Mind Control. If they have multiple monsters of the same Level, then it's unfair. I doubt it'd be considered "banworthy" broken if released this way, but that doesn't mean it SHOULD be released this way. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Aerion Brightflame Posted June 2, 2013 Report Share Posted June 2, 2013 The big difference between this and soul exchange: Having the right Rank of stuff in your extra to match your opponents deck isn't always easy. The most common time there would be two monsters of the same level out would be if they are Synchro's, which generally mean high level, which means you need a high level focused deck. 4 might seem common, but well either they'll Xyz with them anyhow, or they'll only have the one, meaning your deck would need stuff. So it's actually kinda situational. I could see this being a side deck card for mirror matches, because it would be quite funny there frankly. They'd have to be correct Materials to perform an Xyz Summon.
