Proto
(This card is always treated as a "Archfiend" card) The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can Tribute 1 monster; return this card to the top of the deck. Konami's random name changes biting them later edition. ...Does Summoned Skull have a ruling like this? I know it's original name was Archfiend's Summon. Discuss as a weird tech. Blake
Yes, summoned Skull, that level 6 Fiend dragon thing, etc. Are Archfiends.
evilfusion
Yeah, I remember this being one of the Archfiend cards when Archfiend became an actual archetype. To be fair, the OCG name for Archfiends was "Daemon", which was probably not considered acceptable in the early TCG. So, they changed the names. I assume if they ever get reprinted, they'll either be changed to have the name be Archfiend, or use a line of text to consider them Archfiend cards. Edit: Bleh. They actually DO use the text indicated in the OP. I got confused because the image isn't that version of the card (because the wiki's one is blurry). Sleepy
How come that "treated like Archfiend" bit wasn't included in the Battle Pack version of the card? I know the ruling is old, but I've always been hesitant about taking advantage of it at all because other than the wikia telling it to me, there's not much else. I assume that the Battle Pack 1 was created before the Archfiend support was in Japan
