Machina Fortress

You can discard Machine-Type monster(s) whose total Levels equal 8 or more, then Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard). When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target. Before resolving an opponent's monster effect that targets this face-up card, look at your opponent's hand and discard 1 card from their hand.

You know something is wrong when Dark Eruption is basically another Monster Reborn for this card. That aside, I find it quite amusing how this card has a ridiculous amount of revival-cards for it, and not just random Level 8 Machines. Add to it, it has high ATK, it's own forms of self defense, and so on, and so on. So in general, it's a pretty cool boss.

Why run Force when you can run Cannon? In the case that you can't manage to draw into a gearframe OR a fortress, these things can be pretty funny.

OT: I literally have a whole (competitive) deck that is based completely on throwing multiples of this card at my opponent, and if they make it to my M2, overlay for one of the many amazing rank 7's. This is one of the few structure deck cover cards (Poseidra Being another?) that is actually good. And by good, I mean the new template for machine decks.

The structure Deck was horrible, but the boss was godly. And isn't Fortress stated to be the Structure Deck boss that began the "Structure Deck bosses are ridiculous" trend? Because off-hand, there was Fortress, then Hyperion. Then Grapha. Then Poseidra, then Garunix. Also Dragunity Leviathan. All of those are really good cards intended to support mediocre archetypes, which in some cases, made those archetypes ridiculously good.

Fortress is only truly vicious because it supports all Machines. Grapha and Hyperion are still archetype-specific, and Grapha...Grapha trumps the list of ridiculous bosses.

This. To be fair the deck this came in gave us Gearframe and Peacekeeper too which are both decent.

Gadgets are better on their own right now for xyz spam but this is ok for budget deck Also whoever suggested that big eye would steal it well then i wouldnt summon it against dragons unless i had a good backrow or hand traps.

Although making Blader with Gearframe and Masked Chameleon isn't bad, neither is making Big Eye with Redox and Fortress. The deck's pretty good with Machinas.

I run Kaketokage etc. as well but I still run 2 Gearframe 2 Fortress and then 2 Masked Chameleon and 2 Swift Scarecrow for more diversity. The only real issue is extra deck space, I literally only have room for 1 X and 1 King Feral Imp but most of the time that's all I need.
