Sora1499
It's been, what, 5 months? 6? Damn it's been a while. Anyways, I've been hearing/seeing that Volcanic Shell is the hot shit for Dragon Rulers next format. One scrub even called it "the nuts" in an attempt to parrot our good ol Koko-puff and therein be cool by association. I know that the idea is to provide fodder for Ravine, DDR, and the rare Blaster, but I'm honestly not seeing the benefit. The reward is subpar, especially since my big dragons don't mind being in the grave whatsoever and dandy and eclipse wyvern would much rather be in the grave. Considering the drop in consistency from dead drawing these bastards, I don't think running Shell is ideal. There are better things you should put in first. But that's just my opinion. What do you think?
Dog King
>call me a scrub when you could be a bigger srucb, lol ok card is really cool design tho, volcanics are cool with blaze and rocket and stuff. this card is pretty cool discard fodder tho, and in dragons for sept 13 is a good tech and stuff

Sander
It's absolutely amazing in Gem-Knights as fusion fodder, that much is true. As much as I liked Volcanic Shell in Gem-Knights, I removed it in favor for triple Redox.

Actually sounds like a really good idea. Makes 7s with citrine. How's it test?
玄魔の王
I can see why they'd tech it, it makes up for lost card advantage at minimal cost and provides deck thin, plus it gives them a LV1 for Trishula plays when a Token isn't handy. It's far from "da nutz", but there's nothing wrong with it.

Sleepy
Makes Pot of Avarice happy. Discard fodder is always nice. Good stats for certain plays. Creature Swap loves it. It's not the absolute best in many of the decks it could be used in when it comes to practice. It is as good as it sounds, but I'm saing there's something slightly more appropiate most of the time for a lot of the decks it fits in. Still pretty respectable. I personally think it's genius. One of those cards that are useful ever since the GX era without being broken. Something was done right in there.
ihop
Meh, would be much cooler if it was a Dragon. DDR/Ravine/Blaster fodder is nice but you risk drawing multiples and I don't really think there's that much need for fodder. It's a cool card though and it's a shame Volcanics never really made it as a deck.

It's a cool card though and it's a shame Volcanics never really made it as a deck. Only in the context of use in Dragon Rulers. For almost everything else, including Gem-Knights and Volcanics, Pyro is much better and less abusable in the long run, anyway. If you're using DDR/Ravine/Blaster, you DO need that much fodder. Rather than Ravine turning your draw into Foolish Burial/Reinforcement for Dragunities, this card as fodder keeps your draw, pays the cost, and grabs a new Shell afterwards. Dog King
and then once you use up your shells you banish them for blaster which seems cool, but i guess we will see from any dragon decks that top on what they will use
