These are its official rulings: Legacy of the Valiant: Chronomaly Moai Carrier •This is a Normal Summon monster. •Special Summoning this card from the hand does not start a chain. •In order to Special Summon this card by the method described in its text, the opponent must control at least 1 Monster, Spell or Trap Card, and conversely, you must not control no Monster, Spell or Trap Cards. And eventhough Chronomaly have nebula disk for a pseudo-treeborn, this is not Monarch, so running no backrow is suicidal. Sphinx is better now, due to it only needing Nebula as the tribute fodder. Sadly, this is true now. Then again, since my star combo doesn't involve the natural LV5s at all, I'm only going to tech 1 each of this and Sphinx anyway.
