Sleepy Posted January 22, 2014 Report Share Posted January 22, 2014 When a monster(s) is Summoned to your side of the field: Destroy all monsters on the field, then banish from your Graveyard the monster(s) Summoned when this card was activated (if any). Similar to my "re-work Mirror Force" thread, I'm trying to re-work Torrential in my search for "being good/necessary doesn't mean it had to be list-worthy". It's Torrential Tribute, but it only triggers from your own Summon (hey, it's still a field nuke isn't it?). Also, the monster that triggered it gets banished for his noble sacrifice. For short, it's a worst Torrential Tribute. The card warrants you use cards like: Scapegoats Emergency Teleport Call of the Haunted Dragon Rulers etc in order to use this without wasting your Normal Summon, which means this one might not get to become as much of a staple. Not that Torrential is in every deck out there, but the fact still stays that Torrential is on the list, so there must be something that can be done about how it works. Before anyone says something along the lines of "Oh great, because we need Torrential at 4". It's important that you keep in mind this card is a re-train. It wouldn't bother Zenmaines. It banishes after destroying so Zenmaines still has a bit of fun with it. Guess the wording is not the best, but it works like Bottomless does. Hmmm I think I know what the edit could be to make it more clear. I actually added the banishing part because I'm wary of Call of the Haunted + Fire Kings becoming a thing. Didn't really think about potential combos with it, although some D.D.s could work with it (Destroyer, Scout Plane, Survivor). Thomas★Zero Posted January 25, 2014 Report Share Posted January 25, 2014 Would be interesting in combination with PPG during your opponents attack as this would act like a combined Torrential Tribute and Mirror Force and the summoned monster would be protected by PPG (PPG = Pin Point Guard) making it so you can make a plus off it yourself.
