BANZAI!!!!
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card(s) on the field: You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard.
I wonder how well this card holds up today. discuss. Premier Alexander Romanov
Pretty well, actually, though most prefer its sparkier cousin.
Loyalist
Considering my main deck is in(derp)zektors I always get a sudden rush of depression when my opponent summons this (Cuz no hornet obv). Regardless I still like this card. Also gave way to some interesting cards like Starlight Road, Stardust Assault Mode etc.
BANZAI!!!!
Pretty well, actually, though most prefer its sparkier cousin. I actually prefer the original to spark, mainly because stardust can protect multiple monsters while spark simply gives one invulnerability. plus assault mode is boss as hell
ihop
It's still one of the best level 8 Synchros and very hard to replace especially in Europe where Sparky doesn't exist.
Toffee.
Thing is, between this and Spark-This protects against any sort of destruction effect.Spark protects something, once, once-per-turn, and it can be either effect OR battle. So basically each of them basically does the same thing, but in different ways; Star leaves the field to do so, and Spark also doubles as a meat shield. toralyon
They are each good in theyr on way, but until we get sparky in europe people will fill the extra with stardust. Spark is better becouse it protects better (i know its once per turn, but consider sparky with vanytis emptines-its miles better). And sparky doesnt die to blader, wich is a big plus
Slinky
This card pissed me off to no end when it was released. Now, its just a minor nuisance.
BANZAI!!!!
I'll admit, I've always loved this card, mostly due to it being able to piss off anyone i played back in the day, but also because i really, really like the art. It might even be my favorite card, actually.

Toffee.
This card pissed me off to no end when it was released. Now, its just a minor nuisance. It actually was pretty game-breaking at the time. Mostly because effect-destruction was so prominent, and people hardly ever ventured out of that.At least, at first. Organized Chaos
I've always really like this card's art. It's quite an interesting take on a dragon. I'm not saying Yugioh isn't inventive with its dragons but I just really like how it doesn't look like exactly what you would expect from a being called Stardust Dragon. The sleek yet bestial head. The large orbs on the body. The strange artificial armor adorning most of its muscle joints, even on the angel-like wings. It kind of looks like a dragon but artificially made by the Alien archetype; The orbs seen on Stardust are similar to the ones on Alien Mother and Alien Kid, the fact it looks more designed than most other dragons (The armor and the sleek, artificially-looking head), the feathery wings (there are no wings observed on any existing Alien so they obviously had no idea what wings were like and just took an idea perhaps from fable, of angel wings), the fact it preserves cards on the field (this is really hypothetical but it could act as a safeguard for cards with A-Counters on, allowing you to grow more while evading destruction) and the name itself suggests it's from space. This is completely theory and probably makes no sense, just rambling really. OT: One of my favourite Synchro monsters. A surprisingly original and helpful effect on a 2500 beater was amazing in the day and still has some relevance now. While there are alternatives, Stardust will still be prominent while there is still some level of effect destruction going on. Even though destruction through effects is one of the least common ways of getting rid of monsters, it is still used in quite a few Decks and on Splashable cards. Canadian
Karakuri and Geargia would take this over Sparky any day of the week. Basically it depends on what your deck does. For example, Stardust can be used under Skill Drain.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
I love it when people say this card is broken. It makes me feel good inside, especially with how many different options you have in this day and age of permanently getting rid of this card. goddamnit names are a pain
The original is always better in my heart. Also I run Shooting Star Dragon. That too. Sparky is nice too though.
Sleepy
Depends on the format I guess. The original, on top of everything said in this thread, also has the advantage of actually destroying the other card instead of just being a passive shield. In my eyes, that makes it pretty solid. In fact, original Stardust Dragon is one of the most original cards in the entire game. When I first saw it back in the day I couldn't help but get excited about the other 4 dragons (which I did like Black Rose and Red Dragon.... and I can stop there). The downside of Stardust is was the coming back ability. Nowadays one could sure care less about Stardust being on the field, even Shooting Star is not a huge problem to eventually dismiss, but when Synchros started being a thing, 2500 was strictly better than the standard 2400 of beatsticks (obviously), on top of such a killer effect. It wasn't so much that Stardust could come back, but the fact it would come back at no cost other than a little time, if any. If it had gotten something like "by banishing 1 Tuner in your Graveyard" or "discard 1 card to Special Summon this", it would have never gotten that treatment. Sure, the game evolved to make that completely OK and even more of a "his cousin is better" kind of card, but it made outs to destruction cheap, and that caused alternate ways of removal to arise more. Just one of those "the game had to evolve to catch up" kind of events. Now you can shuffle your opponent's entire field into the Deck with the right strategies...... As is, it wasn't hard to Summon Stardust, play Smashing Ground, and wait for your opponent to decide how they wanted Horus LV8 to go down. Only to have Stardust not actually go away. Oh what fun, don't you think?

Neutrality Man
By show of hands, how many people have seen someone try to Bottomless this when it comes back in the End Phase? I'm going to consider the Like button on your post to be raising my hand. That is LOL whenever it happens. I've actually seen a n00b burn off all 3 of their Bottomless in a single EP in Unlimited format.
Sleepy
By show of hands, how many people have seen someone try to Bottomless this when it comes back in the End Phase? It's inevitable. There's a common mistake for beginners. You can't declare the end of your End Phase. I guess some people are/were under the assumption it had some sort of OPT restriction, or that at least you could kill it as it's just coming back, as if that Stardust would have his guard down or something. I had people do try to destroy it in the past as he was coming back. Though once I told them it could just trigger again, and after they had called someone else for help in rulings, they wouldn't ever try to do it again, let alone in the same turn's End Phase.
