Althemia
When this card is Summoned, send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, draw 1 card.Confirmed for DOL. Anime effect for a placeholder until we get the real effect. -Noel-
Both effects should be restricted in some way, or else this is the BEST NS thing ever Maybe only monster can be milled, and maybe only Level 4 or lower, is this possible? Meh, it'd still be a non-NS Armageddon Knight with no restrictions on DARK. Make it NS only (obv), restrict to monsters or make it so it cannot be removed from the grave for that turn. 玄魔の王
Nobody cares that you can ram this and search ANY card?
Loyalist
Both effects seem pretty OP. I'd say limit the first effect to monsters with an extra restriction and change the searching effect to something more fair (E.g. Draw 1 card or have very specific restrictions for what you can add). Loyalist
I'd be fine with drawing and with milling a LV4 or lower Monster. That wouldn't be bad actually, the card would work similar to card trooper in what it does and both would be good for their own reasons.
Maeriberii Haan
Does this imply that mathematician can pull things out of their ass? Otherwise, this'll be really interesting to see, if Konami didn't butcher it.

Althemia
if it sends/searches any card then the spellbook support is real
Loyalist
Also, LV3 Spellcaster is awesome. A thought just hit me. Say they kept it as any card, that means you can use it to send Spellbooks for card like Spellbook of Masters and their field spell. EDIT: Koko Y U Ninja me!? ...Dashie
I'd honestly be pretty ok with this card if they just cut out the effect of adding anything to your hand, simply because yugioh has evolved to the point where Hoban's whole theory of not playing too many normal summons in a deck is actually very true. Burning your normal summon on a monster with low attack, a level that isn't particularly good (I know Level 3's used to be really f***ing good in Wind-Up format, but Rank 3's aren't particularly good atm) and so on isn't really all that desirable since you're essentially ending your turn after using Mathematician aside from setting some sort of backrow. There could be some ridiculously good S/T that you could mill with this though, like the best thing I can think of right now is Gem-Knight Fusion or milling Secrets or Eternity for Master (which is actually particularly relevant since it's a Spellcaster to make like the entire deck live, although the issue of playing too many normal summons does come up in that deck) EDIT: this thing is actually pretty good for making that Rank 3 plant, since it can also mill Spore/Dandy or w/e
Azuh
Well the way it was used by Bastion in the anime, when it was Normal Summoned, he sent the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard (which happened to be Ring of Destruction). When it was destroyed by battle, it adds one card from the Deck, which could technically become draw

Toffee.
See, here's the thing....If it mills any 1 card; Outclasses Armageddon Knight, Lavalval Chain, maybe Foolish Burial, etc.If it searches any 1 card; Outclasses damn near everything. But like, here's an idea: What if the second effect was left in tact, but it had to be destroyed by battle While it was Face-up, and with an opponent's attacking monster? So, you know, you can't go ramming it into things, and the fact it has to have been Face-up beforehand would give the opponent a heads up. It would also be more anime-accurate
Slinky
Where are you getting this effect from? Wiki lists its anime effect as Send Top card, and if killed in battle, draw 1. >.> http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Mathematician When this card is Summoned, send the top card of your Deck to theGraveyard. Slinky
Pretttty sure it's always been that effect. Its had that effect every time I've looked at it on Wiki in the past month (which is suprisingly a lot, I was building an anime deck on a game I play, and people kept asking about that card, so I kept checking it). Wiki screw-up maybe?
