Rank-Up Magic Quick Chaos

Recommended Posts

RankUpMagicQuickChaos-JP-Anime-ZX.png

Target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "C" monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster you control, by using it as the Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to it also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.)

Confirmed for DOL. Anime effect will be a placeholder until confirmation on the real one.

How would it outclass Argent?

it can't add itself back to the hand. lol

Anyways the card is fair, but I do see the issues it can/will cause.

But really, the main thing this has going for it, is the quickplay status.

If it has no restrictions, either Type/Attribute, or Rank? The fact it's a Quickplay that works on anything and Ranks it Up into a CXyz or Number C.

I can see it working like Throne to Summon a Number C that has the same Number. And if this is coming out in Dragons of Legend, alongside C73, it's plausible that No.73 will get its TCG release, and that 106 will get "reprinted" alongside C106's TCG release.

Well Dragons of Legend has 49 new cards and 1 reprint. Assuming that the reprint is Giant Hand

We at Konami understand that every player in Yu-Gi-Oh! loves our Rank-Up series of cards and every one of them plays a variant of the deck, competitively. And because these cards are so powerful in comparison to the rest of the metagame, we will be forced to either nerf this card to shit or ignore its existence entirely.

I'd say an additional nerf this could have is preventing the new C monster from attacking directly that turn. We don't really want something that can go " attack, attack, RUM, keep attacking", even if it's not reguarded as a very advantage-gaining or competitively viable combo.

That nerf would allow it to keep hitting monsters as a "comeback" card and still help in dodging targets.

Even though we nowadays have crap like Triaramisu that won't care because it doesn't target and will still take away that C card.

As in on top of target restrictions? That seems like too much.

I believe the appropriate move is just to make every other card more powerful
