Special Summon Monsters

In the newest Japanese rulebook, in addition to the Pendulum stuff, they mentioned that from now on, Semi-Nomis and Nomis like the two guys I've illustrated above will be termed "Special Summon Monsters"; in other words, BLS, for example, will have [Warrior/Special Summon/Effect] instead of [Warrior/Effect].

I feel that this change has the potential to make card text shorter in the future, but what do you think?

so the "Cannot be normal summoned or set" sentence is unnecessary? That is a step in the right direction

Not exactly. The range of different Summon conditions for all Special Summon monsters varies too much to simply cut off the text with the conditions.

The change is not meant to make lores shorter. It's meant to help players differ between inherent and Effect Special Summons

The numbering of effects should also come here along with these new sub-type rules and be implemented with the Problem-Solving Text we already have. With that it'd be pretty clear when inherent Summons happen, what costs/conditions/continuous are, and what stuff is not an "effect" in a card (like Quickdraw's "only Synchron" restriction that's not possible to negate with Skill Drain, for example).
