I feel like this card will be important again because of cobalt eagle and pendulum summons, bouncing this back to the top and then being able to drop is as a special every turn would allow for a lot of cycling, deck might need blessing, but it actually turns that card into a double reborn once this and the scales are in position. do you think this idea has merit, and if so, what would be the best  build idea?

Always loved CB's and loved this little guy..or girl...whatever. Yeha, you'd be better off with Tele-Cb for the most part. Still wish CB's get more support.

Monk is the first thing.

Being able to pull a swarm out of nowhere with Monk is huge.

 

Second, it won't be a dead weight when summoned in any way, as CBs don't run the other level 3 these days.

 

Third, It gives access to LIGHT or Fairy R4s, which will increase the deck's toolbox.

 

Fourth, You can actually do something with it when its NS'd.

 

Yeah, it'll be huge.

 

Too bad it's a level 3, so CB players needs to add more inconsistency to the inconsistent deck.

Crystal Beast are a very cool theme, but they suffer from how much their good aspects are completely relying on Carbuncle and Pegasus, with 2 other runnable ones and 1 questionable Eagle, and 2 (cat and turtle) being completely meh.

 

Carbuncle is the deck's Rekindling/Return from the Different Dimension. I think the bad stats were deliberate, especially for it's time.

Also, looking at how it is a mass-Summoning device that needs setup and build up to work, this is the worlds oldest Pendulum prototype.

 

 

Otherwise sure why not? Make it a Level 4 Tuner with at least 1800 DEF.... right?

It'd help with opening up the door for Synchros, would be a better wall, and would allow a casual tech of Cheer Girl as a drawing effect.

It's more like Relying on pegasus, with 2 other runnable ones (Carbuncle and Eagle), 1 questionable one (Topaz), and the rest being meh.

if only we could get some neo crystal beasts with a synchro rainbow dragon and carbuncle combining with pegisus as pen monsters.

 

to be honest, crystal beasts were the first pendulum monsters, with them going somewhere else to be used instead of the graveyard.
