Sabatiel – The Philosopher's Stone

If you have a "Winged Kuriboh" monster in your Graveyard: Pay half your Life Points; add 1 "Polymerization" Spell Card or "Fusion" Spell Card from your deck to your hand, except "Diffusion Wave-Motion." If this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish 3 copies of "Sabatiel - The Philosopher's Stone" from your Graveyard, then target 1 monster on the field; it gains ATK equal to the ATK of the monster on the field with the highest ATK (your choice, if tied), until the end of this turn.

Chain Kuriboh Fusion decks I guess? Meh.

Ok, here's a stupid idea:
Play this in some Cyber Dragon/Gadget.dek, and tech Flute of Kuriboh for some reason or another.
Use this to search for Overload Fusion/etc
Use your Gadgets/Goldfish/etc to make Gigant X/Lavalval Chain/etc
X fuels the Graveyard for Overload, and Lavalval/etc sends your other copies of Sab/Winged Kuriboh/etc to the Graveyard.
Overload Fusion -> Banish 3 Sabs to double Chimeratech's ATK
????????????????

The idea of searching only Poly/Fusion cards makes sense flavor-wise when you think about what a philosopher's stone was primarily meant for: it turns base metals (fusion materials) into more valuable metals. Clever.

I like what they did with it conceptually and The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh makes Winged Kuriboh pretty easy to get in the hand/on the field but what deck would run Winged Kuriboh and some kind of Fusion spell? There's probably some unorthodox thing you can base around this but nothing is immediately coming to mind.

Last effect would make hilarious OTKs with Megamorph as long as you activated at least one copy.

I'll stick with my Tagforce 6 version

that shuffles into the deck

adds ANY card to your hand

and then multiplies attack

This WK condition is a piece of crap.

Like freaking seriously what the hell? In game or whatever it is added when WK is destroyed and doesn't need WK to be played.

This has got to be one of the worst nerfs I have ever seen. Ever.

That last effect will NEVERRRR go off. Like never. Ever.

tl;dr

this card sucks ducks

Guys, I don't know how to tell you this, but Winged Kuriboh > Kuriboh.

OT: Well, it lets Instant Fusion be a little more reliable in Kuriboh Decks, which lets you make other Extra Deck plays that will make its ATK-boost a much more serious effect than if you slap it onto a Kuriboh. The thing is that that'd make your Extra Deck more cramped than anything else ever.
