Kaitoman?!? (Number Hunter) [DUEA]

Recommended Posts

300px-NumberHunter-DUEA-JA-R.png

LIGHT/Warrior/Level 4/1600 ATK/1400 DEF
(This card is never treated as a "Number" monster.)
If this card is Summoned: Shuffle all "Number" Xyz Monsters currently on the field into the Extra Deck. Neither player can Special Summon "Number" Xyz Monsters, also this card cannot be destroyed by battle with an Xyz Monster and it is unaffected by the effects of Xyz Monsters.

Discuss.

...lmao.

I don't even...

So it's called "Number Hunter", but is not a "No." monster, therefore the line saying "this card is NEVER treated as a Number". When Summoned by any means, you return all Numbers to the Extra Deck, and Numbers cannot be Summoned.

It can't die in battle with any Xyz, nor be affected by Xyz effects.

However, it only has 1600 ATK. And you'll still take Battle Damage.

You would think a card based on Kaito and paralleling Kaibaman in some form would support Galaxy-Eyes. But no, it doesn't. And for that reason, I'm not too impressed by it. It does really cool stuff, but it only affects Numbers, and while it's immune against all Xyz, it doesn't do anything else.

That said, the art is hilarious.

I think it's because of how its pronounced (Nanbazu).

That's actually pretty clever.

As for the card itself... I know it's asking a lot, but I wish it'd supported Galaxy-Eyes in addition to what it does.

Even having 2000 ATK would be fine, because then at least it's pretending to support Galaxy-Eyes. I mentioned before how the parallel to Kaibaman makes me think it should have an effect that supports Galaxy-Eyes. That said, Photon/Galaxy has so much Galaxy-Eyes support as it is, it's not a big deal. It just makes this card feel out of place.
