Ghostrick Succubus

Recommended Posts

The name change is hilarious and is probably the best pun the TCG has done, especially in a game aimed at children in western countries. It retains the pun for older fans, but doesn't spell out SEX DEMON for younger ones.

IDK why anyone would bitch

We already have a monster called Succubus Knight, so it shouldn't be due to a censor.

... In Legend of Blue-Eyes =|

Malevolent Nuzzler has cleavage back then, it's hardly an argument. Especially in a "cute" deck like Ghostrick.

Sure it's kinda clever, but meh, I don't especially like it.

Card is ok. Would be better if the Level 2 Ghostricks were actually playable. Or if it had Alucard and Dullahan's floatiness.

Depending on the build, Catgirl and Doll, at least, are...

But I believe it's fits the best in decks that spam lots of level 2 monsters, so that you can have 3 of her on the field at the same time, simultaneously making a lock, destroying 3 monsters per turn with up to 4200 ATK AND, eventually, completely shutting off your opponent's Monster Zones.

I just wish we had a Level 2 Generic Summoner like we have for Level 3 and 1...

Well given she's a succubus, and I'm a big Rosario Vampire fan, this is manditory for me to post.

Except Zeppeli already mentioned that like almost an hour ago.

..........I withdraw my comment from earlier today.

I actually don't really even like the art of Succubus. The name change is humorous...but I don't like it because I don't personally like the art or think it's cute.

Ghostricks seem to not have any idea what theme they're using. Most of their best stuff is Level 1 or Level 3, so having a Rank 2 thrown in there is sort of random.

Not really random, since they already have 2 Xyz to represent both the Zombies (Level 3) and the Fiends (Level 1), so it's logical they'd eventually make one representing the Spellcasters (Level 2).

In Ghostricks this is nigh-impossible to make.

In generic 2 this is horribly inefficient.

As I said, it's better in multiples. So, while bringing out only of them might not be a good idea, 2 or 3 of those together are simply astonishing.

With 4 Level 2 monsters, you can make two Succubus and pop 2 minor monsters (or one protected Yamato), then swing for 2000.

With 6 Level 2 monsters, you can make 3 Succubus and wipe their field, then swing for 3000.

Or you could make Dark Mist, or Gachi and Kappa, and simply run those monsters over while not being a sitting duck next turn.

I think the name change is clever and apt.

People who point to Succubus Knight don't seem to understand that Konami is trying to target a broader market and get younger people interested in playing than it was back then, so of course censorship is going to be more of an issue (especially as highlighted in a 'cute' deck that would be attractive to younger players and with a seemingly younger girl in the artwork). But it is a witty name change. Let's be honest; it could have been a lot worse and more generic and had no hint to Succubus at all.

Did not notice the push lock.

Pretty sure this K-On-ass Deck is not targeted at "younger" players

Definitely marketed toward those mouth-breathing aspies who sit at the far back table after scrubbing at regionals complaining about meta while they play Madolche and Cloudians.

ITT: 1400x2=2000 and 1400x2=3000. Bravo sir.

ITT: running monsters over by battle is better than popping monsters then swinging for much higher damage. Also, Dark Mist is apparently run.
