Cin
This ceased to be a video game topic after a few posts. I'm moving this to Misc, to prevent further spam.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
YOu mean you would rather sit there and be bored that indulge in the 8-bit wonder that is some of the best games the NES has to offer? Yes. Clearly it's a trap. That and I feel like being rebelious when shoved into a room like that.
thanonyx
Yes. Clearly it's a trap. That and I feel like being rebelious when shoved into a room like that. It's not a trap. You go in the room, play NES games for a week, then leave.

Night
Masturbate.
thanonyx
s*** graphicz lel Hey a game doesn't need top of the line graphics to be good. All of the games I listed are some of the best NES titles ever produced and they are still fun to play even now. A good chunk of them even became their own franchises some of which are still continuing today. Masturbate. Seriously, for a week straight? Dude, it's going to fall off at that rate. The Warden
Not unless you waited a week prior, assuming this wasn't an abduction and thus had knowledge of the undertaking.
thanonyx
Not unless you waited a week prior, assuming this wasn't an abduction and thus had knowledge of the undertaking. No, it's not an abduction, it's voluntary.
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
>voluntary Well then why can't we just choose to not be stuck in a tiny room?
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
It's not a trap. You go in the room, play NES games for a week, then leave. Put me in a room and tell me/expect me to do something. Chances are I'm going to avoid doing it.
thanonyx
>voluntary Well then why can't we just choose to not be stuck in a tiny room? Because you already volunteered and are locked in the room for the next week, no backsies.
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
Shouldn't voluntary jobs, by nature, allow you to drop out of the program at any point?
thanonyx
Shouldn't voluntary jobs, by nature, allow you to drop out of the program at any point? 1 week with the NES "No backsies".

宇佐見 蓮子@C94
K. Whatevz. Anyway, since I'm done attacking this thread from a logical viewpoint, time to attack it from a scientific one. You said that the only things in the room are a tv and a NES. The room is apparently small, with no windows and only fluorescent lights as illumination. This is pretty much a solitary confinement cell, AKA the stuff the cops use to break criminals. You mentioned that we are locked, thus we can't go outside and poop or pee, which means that naturally, the room would stink like hell. No natural lights mean that you would lose track of time, as you mentioned no clock to speak of. If you're lucky, you'd die before the week is over due to thirst. If you're not, you'd come out of the room severely dehydrated, hungry, dirty, a lot less healthy, much thinner and probably some mental problems as well. Locked in a small room with no human interaction, especially for a week, could easily break someone. After 24 hours, you'd be severly dehydrated with barely enough energy to play your NES. After 3 days you'd start to lament your decision of joining the program as the puddle of piss and shit starts to fester. 2 days later and you're probably scratching the cell walls with what little strength you have left, writing down the names of your loved ones. By now you are likely to start experiencing vivid hallucinations and you'd probably start seeing your NES as a living object. 2 days later, you're out of the room with a plethora of health and mental issues to deal with. Have fun, kids!

Have fun, kids! I said there's a stocked fridge with 1 week's worth of food and water, there is also a working bathroom with a sink, soap, toilet, and plenty of T.P., there are fluorescent lights 12 feet above on the ceiling, as for human interaction I guess the scientists can check up on you every few hours to ask you some questions, and I guess the room can have a clock. thanonyx
can I complaint about why NES over SNES to the scientist? The study is for the effects of playing "NES" games on the human brain when the person is used to modern gaming standards, not SNES.
