(This card is always treated as an "Archfiend" card.)
Equip only to a DARK Dragon-Type monster or an "Archfiend" monster. It gains 600 ATK. Apply the following effects based on the type of equipped monster.
- DARK Dragon-Type: When the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle: You can discard 1 DARK monster; draw 1 card.
- "Archfiend": Banish any monster destroyed by battle with the equipped monster.

It's worth pointing out that B. Skull Dragon is both a DARK Dragon-Type and an Archfiend monster at the same time, so it would gain both effects.

It is kind of cool that you re-trained an anime-only signature card of Joey during Duelist Kingdom, in a way that keeps the original effect of boosting 600 ATK and gives a little something to 2 different strategies that happen to have a member in common that happens to be Joey's best card during that arc.

I'm not sure how much Archfiend would need this, but the DARK Dragon-Type effect could just let you draw without the discard and still be fine, unless you have planned to take advantage of the discard in some way, which DARK monsters often do, but I don't think the decks that could use this card will really go for that.

I also need to add the note that B. Skull Dragon might have been the intended best target for this, but funnily enough Red Dragon Archfiend is also a DARK Dragon-Type Archfiend monster with almost the same ATK and an effect to boot. Not to mention it is easier to bring out. Just thought I'd mention that.

Yes, I forgot about Red Dragon Archfiend!  That would work as well.  The Archfiend effect was meant to match the effect of an Archfiend monster called "Lesser Fiend", which banished anything it destroyed by battle.  It's a good way to get around the Hands.  As for the DARK Dragon-Type effect, the effect is like a combination of "Veil of Darkness", which allowed you to reveal a DARK monster you drew during your Draw Phase and send it to the Graveyard to draw 1 more card, and "Divine Dragon Apocralyph", which allowed you to discard a card to add a Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard to your hand.  It's good for Deck Thinning and can fill your Graveyard.

Next time, check the post date before you decide to necrobump.

Topic LOCKED.

For the rest of you, a reminder that 2 weeks without posts in this section constitutes a dead thread.

However, if you have made sizable updates to a card, you are given an extended grace period of 2 months as the thread creator. (Mostly for sets, but singles also fall into it)

(This thread was dead for 10 months, so both conditions have been violated)
