The Necloth of Brionac
Water Warrior / Ritual / Effect
LV6 2300/1400
Can be Ritual Summoned with a "Necloth" Ritual Spell Card. Must be Special Summoned by a Ritual Summon using a monster other than "The Necloth of Brionac", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. You can only use each effect of "The Necloth of Brionac" once per turn. (1) You can discard this card; add 1 "Necloth" monster from your Deck to your hand, except for "The Necloth of Brionac". (2) You can target up to 2 monsters on the field that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck; return them to the Deck.

This card is absurd as hell. Like it's actually just amazing, christ. Picture will be up as soon as we get it, info from Maxut.

"Pfft we're not banned. We moved to Rituals to become Saints of the Ice Barrier!" New Saint Seiya Series 2015 confirmed.

Love how they're making all these rituals, you know, not dead draws. Really balances them out and a mechanic that should be used for most if not all rituals in the future.

Yes. Good. More.

I'm both surprised and relieved that its effect is not the same as the original Brionac's. Although in a non-splashable monster like this one, this effect is arguably better. The RotA effect is also dope as hell for several reasons. I wonder if the archetype will get level 3s in order to summon Trishula with this.

On the other hand..., I love Ice Barrier Dragons, I seriously do, but between Evilswarms and these guys, I'm getting a bit tired of them. Not that I'm not looking forward to seeing the art on this one, though.

Guys, I've read the Japanese blog post. It should say "return them to the Deck".

That would make more sense because, while it is effective against Fusions/Synchros/Xyzs, I didn't see the point of bouncing Pendulums when they can just be dropped again the next turn, except when going for a finishing blow.

So...the Gishki Mirror became part of the Rituals for the Necloth...and the Necloth Ritual Monsters are versions of the Ice Barrier Dragons.

Interesting. Necloth in general seem capable of making Ritual monsters better, and steps do seem to be made to prevent the Gishki problem all over again.

The mirror business even makes sense with the story. The tribal evolution is as follows:

Ice Barriers -> Trishula unsealed -> Survivors become Gishki -> Gishki summon the SteelSwarm -> Steelswarm become EvilSwarm -> Gishki Leader (can't remember her actual name at the moment) uses Ice Barrier magic to defend her children against Zielgigas -> Sophiapocalypse -> stuff with Tierra -> Ice barrier/Gishkis become Necloths

but... that storyline is wrong.

Ice Barrier -> unseal one dragon at a time -> Unseal trish and it freezes lots of world

Noellia was an IB that ran off with the forbidden Gishki mirror. She formed the  Gishki. The Gishki, in their malevolence, mugged the gustos for control of the Mist Valley swamplands. This malevolence awoke the Steelswarm.

Vylon came down to stop the Lavals and Gem-Knights from fighting, the latter in self-defense. Then all 5 non-Steelswarm attack the steelswarm and eventually win.

Noellia continues to antagonize the world, murdering all but a solitary Laval (Phlogis) and poisoning the Gusto, which was repelled by Daigusto Emeral; Emerald + Musto.

Remains of the Steelswarm, namely Steelswarm Cell, give way to the vLswarm virus at Tierra's manipulation of their corpses. She also created the Constellar, as was leaked not long ago.

This created the Evilswarm. The war began anew, and Noellia revived Steelswarm Hercules as a Gishki. However, it was too powerful, and it mind jacked all of the Gishkis, leading to Noellia getting turned into Psychelone.

Psychelone got saved by the Constellars and turned back to Noellia, the malevolence also cleared from her mind, and protects her daughter + Avance from ZielGigas with IB magic.

the rest remains to be seen, beyond Sophia.

Thank you for calling my severe abridging in interest of not straying too far from the topic of Necloths wrong. I only mentioned Trish by name because he was the biggest event, causing an Ice Age-based apocalypse and all.

Also thank you for the summary.
