[Unbanned if Changed?] Heavy Storm

Recommended Posts

Trishula is fucking nuts and can turn games around just by summoning it, whether you loop it or not. All you need to do is sit across from someone who can consistently make it to realiz this. You can say that a bunch of the hate came from a time when the banished pile wasn't as easy to access, but that doesn't mean it's any less powerful.

I have now logically deduced that some OCG players are blind.

Please, don't speak for the OCG as a whole, because you don't know everyone or their thoughts.

Heavy might be one of the few cards I think the TCG should have. We already have SC, we don't need another revival without a cost that you can just proceed to go win the game with. As much as I love Reborn, lol.

Trishula is Trishula. Can you TRY to explain what makes this a fair card at ALL? Or ANY of the other cards the OCG has that we don't?

Justify Cold Wave, please.

Justify Shock Master, if that's even possible.

I have now deduced that you are another TCG loving Tewert fucking bias dip, but that aside

1) General Consensus

2) Heavy should absolutely be in TCG

3) Reborn and Heavy go hand in hand with 3 Torrential 2 BTH 3CED 1SJ. If you had that you would realize that SC isn't nearly as good as TCG makes it. Either way 1 of each even for TCG is the good move

4) Trishula? Lets see 3 mat in a format where people are maining 2-3 veiler. The meta decks give no s***. Qlip flip Skill, Shaddolls Drop veiler, Heroes flip chalice its all good. Torrential at 3? Good luck getting it out regularly. 9 is a akward level outside of infern that need a hit anyway.

5) 1) OCG doesn't have Cold Wave yet 2) its more the fact it can stop pendulum and that OCG set 5 format are really not fun

6) Never said this was a good card, all I said was if seraphs are hit to 2 each this can stay at 1 instead of 0

Ravine

Stratos

Its also from a time when decks couldn't build advantage nearly as fast as they do now, that does make it far less powerful. Did I mention a slower time too?

I got this, guys.

Ravine: Foolish Burial is limited for a reason

Stratos: Not only did he serve as a universal searcher, he also could deal with backrow, one of the deck's biggest weaknesses.

Morphing Jar 2: There was a totally awesome degenerate combo deck involving jackpot 7.

1) I'd like to see that poll.

2)no it really shouldn't, free wipes on the backrow aren't meant to be in this game because there is no limit to setting, so while creature wipes are fine, because we normal summon only once in this game per turn, so a wipe after one turn, without considering effects, means you'd hit one monster. dropping dark hole turn one likely only kills 1 monster, even if it's an extra deck.

3)honestly, that's opinion.

4) effect negation doesn't matter when you are thinking about game balance for cost.  an effect like that, as well as the fact a synchro summoning is generally done with one monster summoning another to make it easier, then lets add on top that trish gives you a +2 or 3  just for making it, and this is on summon, so even if you do bottomless or TT it or anything short of a solemn the summoning makes up for the 3 mat need. so compound the cheeper summoning process into a +2, and you get a significant advantage early game if it's not stopped, so it forces a good stopper. and you can't expect someone to draw it every game, so when you factor in the times when they have the summon for it, and the opponent doesn't start with a stopper, instant game swing, giving that player all the tempo control at the start.

5) a set 5 format? when was that?

anyway, on stratos, it was all the utility it gave, and that it hit off any summon I believe?

by changing that with the new shadow guy, he's a bit slower, but still just as useful. most certainly since masked heros are the current version of heros anyway.

Morphing Jar II is unhealthy and often just screws over the opponent.

Stratos got a search upon both kinds of summons and was constantly spammed. Not even limited to once per turn, which is what makes Shadow Mist or whatever a fair card.

Dragon Ravine is fūcking Dragon Ravine.

Thank you, Greiga.
