-kyo-
1 Machine/Pendulum/Effect 2800/1000 Pendulum Effect :You cannot Special Summon any monsters, except "Qli" monsters (this effect cannot be negated). All "Qli" monsters you control gain 300 ATK. Monster Effect :You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. If this card is Normal Summoned without Tributing or is Special Summoned, its Level becomes 4 and its original ATK becomes 1800. If this card is Normal Summoned/Set, it is unaffected by activated effects from any monster whose original Level/Rank is lower than this card's current Level. When this card is Tribute Summoned by Tributing a "Qli" monster(s): You can target 1 card on the field; return that target to the hand. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effect's activation. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Qliphort_Alias please discuss
Maeriberii Haan
Space jews, next time you're going to try being a ninja, make your entire body invisible, ok? Aaaanyway, Spell Speed 4 bouncing is really damn powerful. Lack of target restriction means it can fill a whole lot of roles. It can reuse tool, remove a Vanity's Emptiness you activated to perform pendulum spam, clear lockdown cards, kill bosses, etc. Potent card is potent. Trebuchet MS
Well, there's something to replace Disk. Arrange the stack to effectively split second all your things? Stronk.
Blake
Well, there's something to replace Disk. Arrange the stack to effectively split second all your things? Stronk. Why would you replace Disk? That's the better of the two tribute monsters...
Trebuchet MS
Maybe I haven't been using Qlips with the right mindset, but unless I'm pushing for game, I would like some form of removal rather than plopping a few more bodies onto the field. Maeriberii Haan
If you really need to remove something for this (which I really believe that you shouldn't really get to this problem atm), just kick Shell instead. Disk is a win condition if you activate Skill Drain after it resolves, and putting 2 bodies into the board is vital due to it setting up your pendulum zone easier. Slinky
This appears to be another 1-of like Shell is. Crazy effect, but thanks to Tools searching, you shouldn't need to run more of it.

Trebuchet MS
Clearly they're trying to push for Qlips as master archetype.
heraldry_lord
So we have 7 Qliphorts so far (Tool, Helix, Disk, Shell, Carrier, Killer and this), so we have 3 monsters left, I think.
CLG Klavier
I missed the reason why it says "Qli" instead of "Qliphort" in the effect?
heraldry_lord
I missed the reason why it says "Qli" instead of "Qliphort" in the effect? TCG uses "Qli" instead of "Qliphort".
CLG Klavier
Figured as much, just makes me wonder why, if they're still named Qliphorts and there is no "Qli-something" card that's not "Qliphort" yet.

My guess is that Japanese text says only part of the name for the effects, so TCG is doing it just in case, so we don't have another case like "lswarm" (cuz let's be honest, lswarm is just weird and confuses new players)
