1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn: You can banish 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard, then target 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls; change that target to face-up Attack Position, and if you do, its ATK becomes 0 until the end of this turn.

I have been splashing this in the Extra Deck of any Deck that can make Synchro 7s, but now I'm not sure if it is worth of being run anymore. I mean, an emergency nuke is cool and game-changing but, more often than not, when I can make this either I don't need it because I have the advantage over the field, or I'm facing 3+ backrow so it falls on a BTS, Warning or whatnot.

And even if it resolves, in a floater format its impact is not as strong and the opponent can quickly recover from it, while you are usually left with nothing. However, post-NECH it will be able to hurt Qlips by popping their Pendulum Spells.

Then, as far as I know, the only relevant deck that can drop this is Shaddolls, who already have Arcanite for popping 1~2 cards instead of nuking the entire field.

Finally, Yazi is coming soon and it looks really good. I read somewhere that it wins against BAs by itself, which is not far from the truth since it cannot be targeted by their Monarchs, PWWB/Karma Cut, etc. and their only outs would by Acid Golem, perhaps a 3-material Downerd (provided its survives a turn), or through a Giga-Brilliant boosts, but I digress. My point is that Yazi threats with taking the spot of Black Rose in most Extra Decks.

Has Black Rose successfully saved you from a certain death recently? Is it relevant this format? Will it be post-NECH? Will Yazi take its place as the best generic Synchro7? Or should you make space for both? When was the last time you actually used its second effect?

Discuss.

Black Rose to me, still has its relevancy. Here's 2 situations I had playing Fabled where I won with Black Rose:

1. Vs. Shaddollfacts: So I was in a position where I basically knew my opponent was gonna use Construct and their face-down was a Falco (Construct was in the Grave, 2 actually). I had a Formula and a Leo on board and I was thinking about making Ragin and trying to go for Quasar, trying my luck out. Turns out I had to wait one draw, but I had Ayers Rock Sunrise in my hand, so what I did was I just ended my turn and axiously awaited for my opponent to summon Construct. They flip the Falco, get it, and they apparently set an Artifact Sanctum. They end the Main Phase, I use Formula to go into Black Rose. Field is gone, they have nothing. Next turn, Ayers Rock Sunrise brings back Leo and attacks for game.

2. Vs. Burn: Opponent had 4 backrow and a Wave Motion Cannon. Go for Black Rose, blow up the field including a Mirror Force, D Prison, and forced out a Ceasefire and a Secret Barrel (Only had 1 card in hand) then I summon Lightray Daedalus (I've been teching in Lightrays to give my deck some form of comeback), and from there my opponent had nothing.

The pendulum f***ers run skill drain. Gg

then place it, trigger ability, and lance it to push the effect through. if you willing to wipe, you gotta be ready to use what is available to do so if you being drained.

anyway, I still run a copy in my junk synchron deck, since I can make it easy enough, and with glow up, I do have a shot of the second ability. the second ability actually recently saved me by letting me attack through a belzee for game
