Possession Release
Continuous Trap Card
You can only use the (3) effect of "Possession Release" once per turn.
(1) "Charmer" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle.
(2) "Familiar-Possessed" monsters gain 800 ATK during damage calculation with an opponent's monster, and only during that damage calculation.
(3) If a monster you control is destroyed (by battle or by card effect): Special Summon 1 Spellcaster-Type monster with 1500 DEF with a different Attribute than that monster either in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position.

While Familiar.dek sounds hilarious, this seems best for Gravekeeper's.

The deck has 7 targets, 2 of which are completely optimal to get (Recruiter, Shaman), and others that are decent (ie Assailant).

And I guess you can run Archfiend Eater.

Isn't this the first card that directly support Charmers?

Last effect is silly because it can bring non-Charmer monsters such as Injection Fairy Lily, some GKs and Green Turtle Summoner. I wonder why didn't they go for "Charmer" and "Familiar-Possessed" monsters specifically to avoid this kind of "cross-support".

Seeing Charmer support is great. We still need to see Petit Dragon's upgrade, right?

To be honest, we should have seen this coming with the whole Charmer Sleeves thing. And yeah, Petit Dragon's upgrade should be coming soon. And Dharc's.
But at least Charmers are somewhat playable. The first effect helps a ton with their flip effects and them having weak stats. And then the Familiar-Possessed charmers become 2650ATK beaters that you can Special Summon from the deck with piercing. I like~

I wouldn't be surprised if Charmer hype gets even bigger, they'll make a Familiar-Possessed - Lyna with an added effect that searches for Dharc (or maybe some destruction etc.).

First two effects don't matter

Gravekeeper's is a Spellcaster archetype with plenty of Level 4 monsters

Use one Possessed for her Attribute

Make the rest Gravekeeper's

Being able to search D.D.M. is awesome although since THIS isn't searchable it's hardly a Deck

FLIP: Select 1 Trap Card from your Deck and place it on top of your Deck. If "Necrovalley" is on the field, you can add the selected card to your hand instead.

There is no unsearchable Trap Card.

You need to get your eyes checked.

Those have 200 defense, not 1500.

I think you need to get your eyes checked, because you missed the point, and they're not spellcasters.

They're different attributes that, at least technically, synergize with Spellcasters. and work as an engine to set this off, meaning you search for GKs after using Jigobyte/Archfiend Eater.

The issue with this is the lack of working with Royal Tribute, but that's limited anyways.

I have just 1 question here... where does (3) Summon from? The Hand? Deck? Graveyard? Can we Summon them from the Extra Deck too? this is important information that is not available.

If this thing is capable of pulling from the Extra and Main Deck both... there are 33 targets in the TCG/OCG before SECE drops.

If no Extra Deck, 30.

Copy-Pasting from the Wiki:

All "Charmer" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle. If a "Familiar-Possessed" monster attacks an opponent's monster, it gains 800 ATK during damage calculation only. If a monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon from your Deck in Attack Position or face-down Defense Position, 1 Spellcaster-Type monster with 1500 DEF that has a different Attribute from that destroyed monster's original Attribute. You can only use this effect of "Possession Release" once per turn.

Alright, then including the non-Charmer cards, this thing has 30 targets. The attribute restriction is the one thing stopping this from being Semi-worthy at the very least.
