Blackwing Tamer - Hawk Joe the Pitch Black Level 7 DARK Warrior-Type Synchro Monster ATK 2600 DEF 2000 1 "Blackwing" Tuner + 1 or more "Blackwing" non-Tuner monsters The (1) and (2) effects of "Blackwing Tamer - Hawk Joe the Pitch Black" can each only be used once per turn. (1) You can target 1 Level 5 or higher Winged Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that monster. (2) When your opponent targets this card for an attack, or with a Spell/Trap effect: Target another monster you control that would be an appropriate target; that attack/Spell/Trap now targets the new target. The Special Summon effect is just a huge bonus, and the ability to not die by an S/T is just nice in its own right. Hawk Joe seems like another option for Level 7 Blackwing Synchros. IE, one of thos "Glad Format" type decks that won't be good again unless it gets some completely bonkers support, but will always have people hailing them as the best thing ever. I was actually trying to clarify whether it was supposed to be PP17, which apparently it was, or if I somehow overlooked these a while back. Kris for one is pretty valuable, since it makes Shura more searchable. Hawk Joe is the boss the archetype needed, giving them plenty of recursion and (likely) making for Nothung shenanigans. But, given you are talking in terms of the OCG, if you are looking for consistent turn 1 Shock Master, surely there are better outlets than Blackwings? Blackwings just have most of there potential roles outclassed at this point. It's literally Heroes using Law that kills the deck and ofc Heroes using Shockmaster. Now assume in January, Shadow Mist gets its well deserved limit. Heroes will run back to their place in tier 2 because 1 stratos 1 shadow mist cannot carry the deck (hell with 3 its barely able to compete with the big 3) ShockLAW.dek dead. Now people will realize how retarded having 3 Winds can get esp if Goyo (as likely) gets unbanned OCG side. This will easily complete the dominance that BW need seeing that you can run over most qliphorts with the BW Honest guy. Also I will eat myself if Gale doesn't go to 3 in January so Yay DSF Burn with a side of Trishula and Goyo please.....enjoy damn it enjoy....not to mention the generic support like Monk? and IF/Noden....just got reprinted so there goes hits to them. Basically you replaced the R4 deck of the format (Heroes) with the cooler version. I'm just praying that a SM limit means Malicious can hit 3 and maybe DAD and Monk can hit 2 again as the July Chaos Hero deck won't be legit and KoJ can calm their tits about the "terrifying july format"....or I can happily play glad heros? Mainly I wanna play TeleDAD again :)...or maybe with the suspected REDMD Semi CD may become legit again in some crossbreed with Rulers?
