Pendulum Effect: You cannot Pendulum Summon any monsters, except "DD" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. During each of your Standby Phases: Increase this card's Pendulum Scales by 2 (max. 10), then destroy all monsters you control whose Levels are lower than this card's Pendulum Scales, except "DD" monsters.
Monster Effect: During either player's turn: You can discard this card, then target 1 "DD" card or 1 "Covenant" card you control; return that target to the hand. You can only use this effect of "DD Magical Sage Galilei" once per turn.

I have to say, these two are finally good pendulum scales.

1/10, 3/10, 5/10, and 3/8 are both good scale sets for the deck (assuming 1 turn passed for 3/8), because only the higher scale really matters in most cases. The former high scale finally has a good card to utilize the 10 scale in the form of Abyss Ragnarok, and the last set is the same as Leo/Ogre.

You can easily reset the scales if you must, but the deck now has a means to force out damage and pressure with the X/10 turn, and the X+2/8 turn is often a usable Pendulum turn as well, giving you two powerful, worthwhile turns to beat the opp's face in with as opposed to wasting it on a card like Hell Armageddon. Sure, that means you only have 1 turn of spitting out Abyss Ragnaroks by Pendulum, and it doesn't let you SS OEPD... But what it lacks there, it makes up for in the push.

Galilei always had a good discard, it just lacked a good scale due to its effect. It now has a better scale because it's no longer a detriment to have to set it, and you have more cards you want to protect when you aren't focused on fitting in the Synchro side as well. It's still weaker than its brother, so I'm only playing 2, but I might bump it to 3 just because protection/fodder/scale 1 is all good.

Then Kepler has the fabled 10 scale. Which lets you spit out Ragnarok, and later, is an 8 scale. And a Stratos for your Super Tenki/Super Raigeki Break/Fusion Spell. It's an all around good card, and its bounce effect is, at least in theory, better now, as well as having a reason to be set. It's obviously good, but its worth as a scale is greatly buffed by Abyss Ragnarok.

Hell, even when these two are 5/6, you can likely spit out another Abyss Ragnarok by Normal Summon, which has often led to either winning the game or resetting the scales at worst.

You ditch Galilei to bounce a card in your Pendulum zones, and because he goes tot he grave he can be re-curred via Lilith.

Also Perpetual Oscillation.

Once you set up 1 set of scales, it becomes a + engine as you can reset the one you popped each turn, and then pop it at the end of your MP2 to dig into backrow/etc for the next turn.

Think Blaze Accelerator Magazine, but not searchable.
