I feel like this isn't just me, someone else gotta share the same feelings toward non-menacing things. Yall got any weird irrational fears? I am hemophobic, meaning that I can't deal with the sight (or occasionally mention) of blood. My hemophobia is limited to the blood of others, though, as my own blood has never bothered me. I actually get nosebleeds on a regular basis, but it never caused issue. I originally thought that this was not common, but I now know that at least one other person from this site alone is the same way, so I guess it isn't too atypical.

I (and I think most people) was afraid of the dark as a kid. I think I've mentioned being slightly paranoid which is sorta along the same lines as an irrational fear. I also, silly as it may seem fear being/seeing physical deformities. Don't know why. It's not a regular fear though, more of a disgust at seeing them and fear of getting one.

For the longest time despite never having a problem with and being questioning myself at the time, I had the biggest irrational fear that the Homosexual Community would round up all the heterosexuals, stick them in caves, labs, containers, cages etc and use them explicitly for the purpose of procreation. And yes this includes straight-identified-trans folks. The world would be populated by them. Which is odd considered I've always been and am stereotypically bisexual in one way or another throughout my life.

Mind you Hawaii has no inherent distinction between the sexes or people with different preferences other than your own social expectations. And I grew up not having a care in the world, even going so far as to play with Sailor Moon Dolls and DBZ toys, shipping Usagi and Son Goku at the age of 7. A few times I willingly broke in my friend's high heels.

... But I had that irrational fear looming in the back of my head for YEARS... until the age of 18.

Getting a flesh-eating virus by touching something with my hand. Which is one of the hundred reasons why I wash my hands a lot.

Oh, whenever people bring up eye damage I get freaked out.

Going blind I guess is the fear. Which since I'm already mostly blind makes sense I guess. But the fact that anything to do with eyes really makes me feel freaked is a bit irrational I guess.

Seconded. Also, seeing eye damage.

I dont have irrational fears

I only have the thought of being crushed between the doors of an elevator

That's not the worst to happen in an elevator
wheeeeeeeeeee
OT: Also, I think I fear animals/insects/etc a bit more than I should.

I mean sure, insects make sense at times, but like…I don't like dogs or really a lot of animals cuz I always think they're going to bite me or some s***.

And then heights. Just looking UP (and down) while I'm more elevated than I like to be can make me kinda dizzy. Multiple floors of a mall, escalators, just damn steps in a house, lol. I don't know what exactly I'm afraid of…falling?

f***ing. Crowded. Places.

Literally the most terrifying thing to me. I am scared shitless of the future, but at least that can be good! NOTHING good ever comes out of a crowded place.

Thinking about it, I really really really HATE crowded places. I think it's a mix of fear and hatred for me, lol.

Bolded text, though. 100% true.

Tenta, please do not spam.

Anyway, as I've mentioned in the old phobia thread, I have an irrational fear of anything infinite or limitless, though the fear usually came when I'm overthinking them.

That aside, I also fear forgetting to lock my things whenever I leave them alone, often checking them back just to check that they're still around and locked.

To fear one's self is wise. hue

But on a somewhat similar note…yeah, the concept of "forever" doesn't stir well with me. I'm not looking forward to any kind of future where humans can live forever. I feel that everything has it's place and time. Nothing should stay forever, let alone human beings.

Also, I can read what you're saying as "I don't like domains and ranges on graphs" which is a pretty logical fear because that shit can get scary.

How are you overthinking them, if you don't mind me asking?
