Maeriberii Haan
Activate 1 of these effects. ● Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; change that target's battle position. ● Tribute 1 monster, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; take control of that target until the End Phase. Oh hey, an old card that really resurfaced in usage competitively due to Shadolls, BA, and Qlip's ability to utilize it effectively! Surprised no one made a thread about this earlier. Discuss. Darj
The metagame has evolved to such point that you can afford to Tribute a monster, sometimes with no cost because the Tributed monster floats, to steal a monster and go for game before the opponent pushes you back. Personally, I don't like to where the meta is going: backrow is becoming irrelevant, either your deck OTKs, floats, or both, or it has no place in the top tiers. Well, Necloth appears to be an exception, but I have not watched them enough in TCG format yet. This is more of an off-topic mini-rant, but I dislike what happened to Shaddolls as well: from a control-grind deck they degenerated into an OTK deck in order to stand against the top tiers, and I have never been a fan of spam or OTK-ish decks such as Hieratics and whatnot. EDIT: I realized that I'm not commenting on the card itself at all. OT: To be honest, I don't know what to add. The card is fine, I guess; it's the meta or the powercreep or whatever that turned its Tribute cost almost meaningless.
Maeriberii Haan
The card is simply wonderful right now. Whether pushing for game, screwing TGU plays to the point of stopping your opponent cold for the rest of the turn, removing bosses to be tributed/fused, and other nifty applications. As for shaddolls, to be honest, I like how they're the most flexible of the current top decks in TCG. They've gone from the old shaddoll builds, to the Soul-charge build, to BA-Dolls hybrid (or 60 cards control), to Artifact Dolls, to the Denko Dolls of now. As of now, their grind game is outclassed to an extent by BA. after all, and thus, they need another gimmick to be able to survive. And they just happen to have access to a card that gives them the insane damage pushing they need, which is El-Shaddoll Fusion. Heck, from what I've seen, more people in TCG swore by El-Shaddoll Fusion over the old Shaddoll Fusion due to the former's sheer versatility. Ah, speaking of Shaddolls, this is also used in Shaddolls as a way to remove their fusions from the field when facing the mirror, aside from tributing them for Beast in MP2. goddamnit names are a pain
Card is simply glorious in Burning Abyss. It stops OTKs, takes their shit in turns it into an OTK for you, gets Burning Abyss effects (in particular, I like to use it with Farfa or Graff into banishing the last thingy they might have or Graff --> Scarm/Farfa. Changing battle positions is also godlike for getting rid of Vanity's and things SS'D using that Djinn shit.
Darj
Yeah, this card is like the next BoM when it comes to versatility, but only because decks can afford to pay the Tribute cost. And I find Shaddoll's flexibility interesting too, but I would have preferred if the dominant variant wasn't the OTKer. By the way, I wish the Sephira-Shaddolls could support Shaddolls as well just to make them even more flexible.

Stops dante plays cold, etc. heck, Use this to take anything TGU summoned when they're doing that play. It ends their turn right there pretty much, since anymore BA you summoned outside of using Libic will be smashed by TGU's presence. It gets even more glorious in the Mirror where you can take over opposing Dante/Virgils and not screw yourself over, or this and Farfa completely demolishing double dante setup. ~ P O L A R I S ~
^composer of this masterpiece >>>>>>>> Mozart. Yeah Enemy Controller is rad, just Pendulum right back to the front lines. Pendulums are like a whollota Treeborn Frogs, Treeborn being the original E-Con fodder back in the Monarch Meta days. Trebuchet MS
Upon noticing that Q-Carrier and Q-Helix trigger when Tributed for anything, even card effects, my first instinct was to squeeze a few of this into my virtual Qlip Deck to rub it in the opponent's face as I snap up their things while Tributing for the bigger Qlips. But after a bit of testing, Stormforth won out in the monster denial department.

Stormforth wins when it comes to sheer removal, but this wins in its amazing amount of utility.
