[ANIME] Beastborg Panther Predator (and related Spell)

Recommended Posts

Machine/Fusion/Effect

1 Level 4 or lower Beast-Warrior-Type monster + 1 Level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster
Once per turn: You can inflict damage to your opponent equal to half this card's ATK. If this card is destroyed by battle, and all the Fusion Materials that were used for its Fusion Summon are in your Graveyard: Special Summon all of them.

(Now we know why Panther Warrior even showed up in the preview for Arc-V 40; outside of DM)

Beastborg Fusioner

Once per turn: You can Fusion Summon 1 "Beastborg" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or your side of the field as Fusion Materials. You cannot Normal Summon/Set.

Anyway, discuss.

(Once Wikia confirms the effect of that Spell Card that goes along with this, it will be added here.)

Yeah, 800 damage kinda sucks on Predator; if it did more, then probably worth it.

Usage-wise, can't think of a Deck that would really use this (or could without screwing their consistency)

Indeed, the Fusion should hopefully be better; or these two border on the edge of anime plot device for this character.

(We don't know what Machine was used to fuse with Panther to make this, though)

Well, the Fusion Monster sucks.
A 1600 that does 800 a turn.
Hope the Fusion card does better.

It's interesting though, you can suicide it and then continue the attack with the materials.
Also, you can use Dragoons of Draconia and Doradragon (from your hand) to summon this so it can be a (bad, yeah) tech in Normal Pendulums.
Tengu can also be a material.

The fact the fusion is continuous also seems interesting.

Or you could just use Polymerization or whatever other generic Fusion cards for this; really don't see the need for a specific one.

Then again, have to wait for Wikia to update its effect (or if one of you is capable of translating Japanese, and can read off the card print; we'll do it ourselves).

But yeah, being a Continuous card is interesting; maybe said card does a similar thing to Frightfur Factory, but I don't know (and would be counterproductive).

For the Machine component on Predator, it's some card named Dark Sentinel (see Wikia).

At the moment, there's nothing about it, aside from being a Machine and a Level 4 or lower monster, so...

The way it was used in the anime, seems it was powered up with a lot of counter-using Trap cards to increase ATK power and deal a lot of damage very quickly with it. Shame that strategy dies to MST AND to Breakthrough/Fiendish.

EDIT: I checked out the Joey's birthday stuff, which WAS right, awesome. I also did a little checking around: Seto Kaiba's birthday also falls on a Sunday this year.

I look forward to any possible shenanigans on October 25.
