wilow12
Lore : When this card is activated destroy any face-up 0 ATK card on the field. There can only 1 face-up "Cold to Death" on the field. As long as this card remain face-up on the field all Monster face-up on the field had its ATK decreased by 500 during each turn as long as that card is face-up on the field, if any Monster effected by this card effect had its ATK reduced to 0 destroy that card. Trebuchet MS
This reminds me of Venom Swamp. Only that it acts a lot slower. A turnly 100 ATK penalty is just too ineffective to make a difference. Monster lifespans are often really short - they can be expected to leave the field within a turn or two, which is way sooner than the deadline this card establishes on them. Also, it takes 10 of your turns (and another 10 of your opponent's) to kill a 2000 ATK monster, provided it lasts that long. I could win the game in that time. Tinkerer
Gad took the words from my mouth. Unless you combined this card with venom swamp, the card itselfis just too slow. On top of that it contains the inherent weakness of being a continuous spell. If 20 turns wasn't enough to win, it would surely be long enough to draw an MST or some other S/T destruction. Maybe you could up its power by a bit and have it work only for your opponent's monsters. It would be more useful and it would draw enemy MATs from other useful cards you may have. Flash Flyer - Sakura
At best, this thing can screw with Ojamas or something, considering they already have 0 ATK to begin with (but pretty sure they have other options to circumvent that). As Gadjiltron already mentioned, it's extremely slow in killing a monster; if we wanted to take +20 turns to win, we'd might as well use Final Countdown for a guaranteed one. Or quite simply, just win the normal way + use existing power or effect removal. Just increase it to 500-600 or something, and it should be fine. Venom Swamp does the same thing as this card, except to non-Venom monsters + kills faster. That being said, you would need to keep a hard "1 card" clause on it, so things don't get stripped with multiple copies of this, should you go that route. I suppose you could combo this card with others that can force your opponent's monsters to 0, such as this, but it's gimmicky at best and remember that it will affect you as well. Trebuchet MS
Alright, let me clean up the text a bit. When this card is activated: Destroy any face-up all monsters with 0 ATK card on the field. There can only 1 face-up "Cold to Death" on the field. During each Standby Phase: As long as this card remain face-up on the field All monsters lose 500 face-up on the field had its ATK. decreased by 500 during each turn as long as that card is face-up on the field, if any Destroy a monster effected by this card effect had if its ATK reduced to becomes 0 destroy that card by this effect. I'm only assuming that the ATK decrease occurs during the Standby Phase. You didn't state when in the turn the ATK decrease happens. It's now become a stronger, though unsearchable, version of Venom Swamp. The ATK reduction is permanent until the affected monster stops being face-up on the field, which is nice compared to Swamp where the ATK drop no longer applies if it leaves the field. The only thing holding it back is that there are very few monsters that are immune to Cold to Death's effects, which can quickly turn the game into an unusually fast one as both you and your opponent try to get the first strike on each other's weakened monsters before your own monsters get weakened too.
