Remember what happened to Seam Reborn? That will probably happen here too.

 

This is also a spell. So more immediate examples are Junk Puppet and Heraldry Reborn. Seam Reborns only real comparitive part was Archfiend's Roar, or something like that.

No it doesn't. Thats Heraldry Art. Heraldry Reborn doesn't have an OPT clause. Junk Puppet does though.

No it doesn't. Thats Heraldry Art. Heraldry Reborn doesn't have an OPT clause. Junk Puppet does though.


You have it backwards - Heraldry Reborn has a OPT clause, AHA does not.

Cards like these are awful design.

 

I was thinking more of Advanced heraldry art and Heraldry reborn since even though they never became meta, they were pretty stupid.

 

Advanced Heraldry Art, sure, but archetype-specific Reborns (as in, those that don't Summon multiples) have done what so far? 

 

Even in the case of AHA, Heraldics being relatively mediocre overall holds it back a lot.

 

You could argue that cards like Junk Puppet, Battlin' Boxing Spirit and Heraldry Reborn are boring/repetitive design, to which I'm inclined to agree.

Usually, when I see the word "stupid", it implies that something is OP, which was what I was arguing against. 

Design and impact are two different things, i even said in the next comment:

They're two different things, but they influence each other, and IMO shouldn't just be considered separate from each other.  A card can be broken on paper, but with proper planning (it's Konami, but still), it can be much tamer in practice. Archetypes have especially provided the means by which you can control just how powerful cards like this can become.

 

If their creativity or intrigue (or lack thereof) is what you were aiming your critique at, then I have no need to argue any further.
