Fusion Summon 1 “Burning Abyss” Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or your side of the field as Fusion Materials. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 “Burning Abyss” monster on the field; it gains 800 ATK and DEF until the end of your opponent’s next turn.

I don't see why you guys are hyping the fusion.

 

Requiring 3 BA's with different names on top of requiring the fusion spell kinda makes it uh... meh to me. Don't get me wrong, the card's effect is really good, but... that summon condition...

Everything here is underwhelming. Draghig is neat, but even Dante - Pilgrim is kinda meh with that +1 draw. I'd imagine people running only 1 Terminus since it's easy to search by Good & Evil, but I'd appreciate it more if the ATk boost eff was Quick-Play. Though it's all still pretty great art and lore; I assume the one at the end of the Inferno is Beatrice.

I have a feeling people might try to run Sophia in this now. They can XYZ, Ritual, Fusion, and Synchro. Getting Sophia out would even relate to the ending of Paradiso where Dante makes it to the final realm of heaven and sees God.

Man, they're really trying to keep the newer BAs as tame as possible, huh?

 

 

Burning Abyss suffered from Konami giving them all the good stuff up front and leaving the follow-ups with little to do. Pilgrim!Dante is cool, but he's a lot of work to make.

Also, bye Burning Abyss. Let us know when the Purgatory Archetype shows up.

I take this comment back. The 1700 guy is worth playing at one, I thought 1700 wasn't a particularly useful attack stat but then I realised it crashes Denko and that kinda makes it worth playing. The others still suck.
