So yeah here it is! Tell me what should be fixed here/what you think and any OCG errors you see please tell!

2 Level 3 monsters
When another monster you control is targeted for an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card is attacked instead, and you flip then toss a coin. If the result is Heads, destroy the attacking monster. If the result is Tails, proceed to damage calculation. This card is unaffected by your opponent's monster effects.

Edit: Final?

If you were going for a card that's good in the current meta, then this isn't really good. Let's take Burning Abyss, for example. Dante will have 2500 attack and then change to defense mode after the attack. It will overrun this card instantly. Shaddolls have Construct, who will also instantly destroy it, and Yosenju has Kama 1, who will bounce it back into the extra deck. In short, against the meta, this isn't really good.

Against lower tier decks, the only archetype I can see running this is Ghostricks.

2 Level 3 monsters
When your opponents another monster is targeted for an attacks any card on the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card is to redirect the attacked instead, and you proceed to damage calculation towards this monster.

Kind of mediocre seeing that it has no staying power at all. I would give it a once-per-turn cannot-be-destroyed-by-battle effect so that there's some merit in this card drawing attacks to itself. Even then it will still be overshadowed by several other generic Rank 3 monsters.

Having used a rank 3 deck for an absolute age and only recently stopped, I can say with certainty that I would never use this with the effect it has now over the likes of Grenosaurus, Leviathan Dragon, Giga-Brilliant, Acid Golem, Zenmaines, Shadow Lich... All it really does is suicides to protect something else, which isn't going to make much difference unless you have a 2 on 1 scenario in which case it may stall for a turn but nothing else. Give it either ridiculous DEF or an OPT destruction immunity or both.

If I give a very high DEF would you recommend a higher rank?

The effect change isn't showing. Have you just not posted it yet?

Just fixed it now

I missed a spot.

This prevents your monsters from somehow being able to attack this card for whatever strange reason/combo you have set up.

Monster effect immunity isn't going to do jack to improve this card when its main purpose is to take a bullet for one of your other monsters.

As Enguin said would a much higher defense make it more reasonable?

Be mindful of its stats relative to other generic Rank 3 Xyz Monsters. I would bump its DEF to around 2200. Exceeding 2500 might be pushing it for a generic R3.

Will do! I do have this kinda bizarre idea to make it more unique where the redirected attack causes a coin flip. Heads the attacker is destroyed, tails the attacks follows through on this card normally.

Well, it's immune to Castel/101, that's for certain (among other things).

In terms of its other effect, it's still a 50-50 thing.

Get it right, and you can blow something up. If not, well this card takes the hit for another 'mon.

Like most coin-flip effects, you can combo this with Second Coin to ensure you blow something up (or at least improve your odds).

---

So yeah, still weak to Raigeki and S/T removal (plus regular battle); but should be useful otherwise.

Then again, Casual is less on the metagame and more on a card's own merit.

Compared to most coin flip effects where "failing" the coin toss not only means you don't get anything beneficial, but get screwed over instead, this card is pretty decent for a coin toss effect. Regardless of the outcome, you will still be protecting the attack target. Shame if it ends up biting the bullet, but at least it tried to get the best outcome.

Now, to polish up the card text:

When another monster you control is targeted for an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card is attacked instead, and you flip then toss a coin. If the result is Heads, destroy the attacking monster. If the result is Tails, proceed to damage calculation this card is attacked as normal. This card is unaffected by your opponent's monster effects.

There we go! I think this is the Finalish version and it definitely seems much more useable!
