You know something's hard to get into play when you specify both the attribute and type of required monsters. That aside, the effects are pretty good, as luck-based as they may be, retaining the stats and basic effect idea of Barrel Dragon. Which opens up Dark Bug. Which can be used with Junk Synchron. Which can be used with... a lot of things. And then there's Genex Ally Birdman. Dark Salvo isn't the most splashable card, but it works. Trebuchet MS Posted May 11, 2015 Report Share Posted May 11, 2015 Once per turn: You can toss a coin 3 times, then inflict 700 points of damage to your opponents life points for each toss that resulted in equal to the number of Heads x 700, also if the result of all was 3 coin tosses are Heads, destroy all cards on your opponent controls side of the field. You have a 1/8 chance of getting that super special awesome jackpot, and a 1/8 chance of this card not doing anything at all. In between is equal chances of 700 or 1400 damage, which is alright, I guess. That's what I like about the Gun Dragon series - their "failure" only means not firing, and not misfiring. Black Salvo might seem like the easy way to put this card together, but otherwise the restrictions are a little tight. But I guess it's also to minimize the number of players gambling for that blowout. Could this strict restriction be tacked onto, say, just the non-Tuner, so that it still looks like it belongs in the Gun Dragon Deck without reducing the possible useable Tuners? I feel like making it require a Machine-Type Tuner (Not DARK Machine, just Machine) is what it really needs. You have there Birdman, Salvo, and other various shenanigans. (Although most of these are suboptimal compared to other options and Synchro 7 plays, which kinda balances the power on it) Not the most usable thing, but when you pull it off, it can be quite phenomenal. However, I'm not sure what Gun Dragon.dek would be run with this, so I may be out of line. Effect wise though, I do like it. Maybe the last effect is a bit harsh, but it still is fairly luck based, and I don't think there will be many times when it will actually happen. Perhaps with the buff mentioned above since it would be able to be used in other Decks now, maybe just make it destroy either all monsters or all Spell/Traps, maybe monsters to fit the theme of Barrel Dragon.
