Darj
2 Level 4 monstersDuring either player's turn, when another card or effect is activated that targets exactly 1 card on the field (and no other cards): You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target another card on the field that would be an appropriate target for that card/effect; that card/effect now targets the new target. The discussion on proactive and reactive Rank4s in the S39: Utopia thread made me think of this card: Is it proactive, reactive, or both? You could make it on turn-1 to discourage or soft-lock the opponent's targeting effects, or drop it mid-late game if you know or suspect that most of your opponent's backrow or whatever requires targeting. Anyway, this should go without saying but the biggest inconvenience I noticed on this card is that it needs targets that you can or want to redirect effects towards, especially other monsters on your field so it can effectively protect itself and keep the soft-lock live. Then add to this that disrupting only targeting effects is situational, and the redirection effect isn't as effective on cards that specifically target cards you or your opponent controls (for instance, let's say... Virgil would still end up spinning a card that you control). So, I wonder... if it also had the option of negating the targeting effect (without destroying the card itself maybe, just to be slightly more fair) for the cases in which there wasn't anything to redirect towards, how would this card's impact have been in the game? Discuss this card and/or the above hypothetical change if you want.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
It would have been leagues better against 101, as well as Fire Hand.

mido9
Usually proactive just since you'd usually summon it when you already have a board you want to protect.
CLG Klavier
It's proactive because you don't answer your opponent removal directly, you just summon this as a lightning rod, though not on an empty field because it has to actually protect something in the first place. 玄魔の王
I am still angry at thjis guy for creating the Shaddolls. The problem with this is it can ony be used proactively, before your opponent can pay tareting stuff, and until then it's not even reactive - it's INactive.
