When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: Your opponent declares one attribute; Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower Wyrm-Type monster from your Deck with the declared attribute to your side of the field (if possible) with its effects negated. You can only activate this effect of "Cosmic Dragon Rainbow Flare" once per turn.

 

1 Wyrm-Type Tuner Monster + 2 or more Wyrm-Type Non-Tuner Monster(s)

Must be Synchro Summoned and cannot be summoned by other ways. When this card destroys a monster as a result of battle: You can destroy 1 face-up card on your opponents side of the field. If this would be destroyed (either by battle or by card effect): You can discard 1 card from your hand instead.

Rainbow Flare would help Yang Zings be able to make Level 6 Synchros (or Rank 3s) on turn 1, or something like that.

Granted, having faster Synchros might help them, but like I just mentioned, not sure if they really want or can use this. (They probably can, though)

 

In Variable Cord's case, again restricted to Yang Zings for right now.

Being able to pop face-ups without targeting is nice, in addition to staying power for the most part.

 

You could discard stuff that Path can recover and all those other things, but as a whole, both of these cards are more/less relegated to Yang Zings.

That is, until we get a new Wyrm Deck.
