Dova
I wish I found art, these could look so cool. But, I suck at editing, so written for now. Obelisk's Disciple LIGHT - Level 4 - Fairy/Pendulum/Effect - 700/1200 - 1111 You cannot Summon monsters, except for DIVINE and "Disciple" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. If you Pendulum Summon a monster(s): You cannot Summon Creator-God-type monsters for the rest of this turn. This effect resolves regardless of whether this card is face-up on the field. If a "Disciple" card(s) is Special Summoned: You can add 1 Divine-Beast-type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Obelisk's Disciple" once per turn. Monster Effect: If this card is Special Summoned: You can tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Disciple" monster from your Deck. You can only use this effect of "Obelisk's Disciple" once per turn. You cannot Summon monsters, except for DIVINE and "Disciple" monsters, during the turn you activate this effect. Slifer's Disciple LIGHT - Level 4 - Fairy/Pendulum/Effect - 1000/900 - 11 You cannot Summon monsters, except for DIVINE and "Disciple" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. If you Pendulum Summon a monster(s): You cannot Summon Creator-God-type monsters for the rest of this turn. This effect resolves regardless of whether this card is face-up on the field. You take no effect damage while you control a face-up "Winged Dragon of Ra". Monster Effect: If this card is Special Summoned: You can tribute this card; Return all "Disciple" monsters in your Graveyard and face-up in your Extra Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Slifer's Disciple" once per turn. You cannot Summon monsters, except for DIVINE and "Disciple" monsters, for the rest of the turn you activate this effect. I had the idea for Obelisk's Disciple's effect long ago. I decided to make a pair of Pendulum monsters, and had to make up a monster effect for Slifer's Disciple, so I decided to go with something that would help that specific God. The first one's searching effect I wanted to make unable to search Horathky, because I would rather these cards be used in an actual Egyptian God Deck. Slifer's Disciple's damage prevention I thought would work for protection when you have Ra, so that you are less vulnerable. I would've made it a "Ra's Disciple" pendulum effect if I redid that too, but I thought I would just start with these two on singles. I wanted to have the Egyptians Gods be powerful without Horathky. Thought please!
asterr259
I don't know if these are really good or really bad. I would much rather someone else more knowledgeable critique these, but I'll say something about it. I'll just think as I go. Firstly Obelisk's Disciple being scale 11 for summoning the gods. The reason why I don't see this as completely broken is because the gods send themselves to the graveyard after being SS, this can't be avoided by mound. So I can only see PS being used for God Obelisk for the ATK. Obelisk's Disciple M-Eff however summons a Disciple of your choice which is very useful for N-summoning the gods easier. Ra's Disciple is an obvious choice. Moving on to Slifer's Disciple. Its P-Eff seems like too much. Facing a possible 4K to 7.9K body with a possible mound(or march of the monarchs, if that works with god cards), and I can't deal damage? I would probably change that to "You take no EFFECT damage". This atleast leaves room for battle/piercing damage to punish over summoning disciples and rewarding plays for destroying Mound+Ra by battle. Flavor-wise I love this effect regarding the whole hierarchy and such. Its M-Effect makes for a interesting Mid or Late Game Slifer, I like it. Of course my worst fear here is the birth of something unintended. Like some weird Horakhty Stall Deck or something.Best Play:>Set Scales>P-Summon all 3 gods.>Wavering Eyes>Horakhty>ProfitBut maybe I'm just over thinking it. Dova
Thanks for the detailed review! Editing to effect damage (I don't know what I was thinking regarding that, I had some idea of Ra being over trumped, but seriously, when you think about it, not gonna happen), and gonna add a clause to the Pendulum Effects to prevent you summoning Creator-God type the same turn. Did I make it a little too complicated with the always resolve effect, or do I not need that?

The new effect does stop 1 turn Horakhty, but the combo I mentioned before is mostly a result of top deck; best case scenario. It's a 7+ card combo(Scales, 3 Gods, Spell Removal, and Horakhty) that you would have to do on the same turn you P-Summon all 3 gods. But honestly? I think New version is fine this way. Duel-Winners aren't exactly healthy, but this way it forces you to NS a god, gradually. By that point you should be in a winning position even without Horakhty. Dova
Thanks again for the comment! Glad this is going okay. I now I have an urge to make quite a few cards based around this, so perhaps Ra's Disciple might be seeing some new action ^^

Tinkerer
I know it's just my OCD and my natural nitpicking, but wouldn't it make more sense for Slifer Disciple to have a scale of 3? I mean, all the Disciple monsters are level 4 anyway... (will probably comment more when it isn't 1:40am...)
Dova
Two reasons: A) Possible support in the future B) My OCD is having a summon limitation without a full-ish scale.
