Ryusei the Morning Star
Once per turn: If a card effect is activated that would remove this card from the field; Negate that effect. Any card that is sent to the Extra Deck is sent to the Graveyard instead. My OCG is probably off, I don't think the card is horrifically unbalanced tbh
Dova
RIP PENDS RIP PENDS RIP PENDS Very interesting card, would make a good side vs. Pends, although personally I would prefer it as a Cont. Trap to fit with the other side materials, but that isn't something big. OCGwise, let me suggest something: "Once per turn: If a card effect is activated that would remove this card from the field; Negate that effect. Any card that is sent to the Extra Deck is sent to the Graveyard instead."

Would also be interesting if you're playing a Extra heavy deck and running into a lot of Compuls or Storming Mirror Force. Oh, you compuls my Winda? How about I send it to the grave instead The card is actually really really good. It's a free out to something like Harpie's Feather duster or any non-targeting removal. That's why I was afraid to make it a trap
The Highlander
... You cannot be serious about creating a floodgate that even protects itself ... by the way, Pendulum decks (except for M&Ms and Majespecter) are hardly that difficult to deal with, that they would justify an abomination, which not only punishes players for playing in a certain way, but also protects itself from any kind of removal and to top it of protects you from any kind of mass destruction card ... even the protection effect on its own is simply ridiculous and an abomination like M&M or Majespecter is hardly any reason to follow their path into another ridiculous direction. Darj
I agree with Highlander: A floodgate that prevent cards from going into the Extra Deck is annoying enough, now throw in a built-in OPT protection against most forms of removal, including nukes? I don't support this. Whether dominant Pendulum-based decks "deserve" it or not, it shouldn't justify the use of protection effects such as this one. Ryusei the Morning Star
Except we're dealing with decks that can regularly 2-0 rulers. Nothing seems excessive tbh
The Highlander
Except we're dealing with decks that can regularly 2-0 rulers. Nothing seems excessive tbh All decks are getting stronger and better after a while, the biggest problem with rulers was that most ... all other decks were not properly able to maintain their resources. You are refering to M&M right, as many Pendulum decks are not on that level and even while knowing that we should NOT blind ourself infront of the obvious fact that decks like shaddoll and burning abyss are also able to maintain resources to a certain degree and are not required to have fitting pendulum scales up at all times. The game evolved beyond a simple grind or otk idea, deal with the fact decks do not easily run out of resources any longer (many).
