What is Evil

while a rough and arbitrary understanding of what's good and what's evil would be necessary to actually be a base, i don't really see any kind of action of behavior as innately evil. thinking that something is innately completely good or completely evil is misleading.

labeling behaviors without understanding its context in its entirety is a clear issue. Understanding what's behind a seemingly despicable deviant behavior is important. It doesn't mean justifying it at all.

ugh i forgot what i'm going to talk about, but basically there's no inherently good or evil behavior without factoring in the entirety of its context. Socially acceptable and legally acceptable behavior is a construct made to classify things better but in the end, they don't define what's good and what's evil.

your failure to adhere to the true dogma of all-lowercase is evil.

It is not wrong to inflict pain, sometimes, while unpleasant, it is the most logical course of action, or the inevitable one. I say sadists are the true form of evil, because, as humans, taking pleasure in the unpleasant is a sign of degeneracy

What kind of sadism are you referring to, by the way?

Person A knowingly inflicting pain to person/animal B, and enjoying the situation

Person A knowingly inflicts an equivalent amount of pain to sentient being B, and is traumatized by it for the rest of their life... That's just more suffering. Why is the situation I have described any better than the situation you described?

Again, wtf do you have against the S&M community?

I personally enjoy physical pain in the bedroom, and it's none of your business to judge that as evil. Humph. :T

The community isn't evil but sadism apology is pretty close.

Marquis de Sade-ism.

It was said that he was insane, I don't think the insane are truly evil, as they lack self control.

Not all pedophiles are rapists.

Defending pedo culture can be viewed as evil, as there are many against normalizing it.

Everything is evil to me. That's why I can't wait for the apocalypse.

why so glum chum?

I don't believe in free will. Strictly speaking I think that no one is to be held completely responsible for their actions.

On a more practical level, though, I admit that this manner of thinking doesn't really tell us much, so I believe a line should be drawn somewhere.

An evil individual, to me, would be someone who consciously and consistently harms others without their consent.

I loathe criminals as much as the average person does, but pedophilia is a mental illness and should be treated as such.

You know that's not what I meant though :/

Evil is defined as profoundly immoral and malevolent

The problem is, "Profound," "immoral," and "Malevolent" are all quite subjective
