Who are you?

My username is Hakima. I've gone by that since I was about twelve. I googled the word for "wisdom" in Swahili, and that is what it told me. I know that it's probably wrong, but don't burst my bubble please.

 

How did you find us?

Funny story there. See, I was bored today and looking through Yu-Gi-Oh! pictures for some reason. I came upon one that was a duel disk themed for Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and when I clicked it, there was a character description that came up beside it. I clicked visit page out of curiosity and here I am.

 

Why should I care?

Because I'll soon be the center of your universe.

 

I'm joking of course. I don't know why you should really care. You probably think I'm another guy who posts his thread and then will be gone in a day. I'm sure you get enough of those, am I right? I hope I won't be. 

 

My favorite archetype in the entirety of Yu-Gi-Oh! is Toon. I know they aren't the most competitive, but I'm in love with their artwork. They have been getting support lately as well, which doesn't hurt. That new Red-Eyes Toon Dragon is gonna be busted! I can't wait to get my hands on it. 

 

If I had to choose a decently competitive deck, it would be Dinomist. I'm a bit annoyed that they aren't dinosaurs, but they have god like artwork and have good enough abilities to be considered threatening. That Dinomist charge + pendulum effect chain is just out of this world good in most situations. Yeah, it's no Kozmos, but they aren't dinosaurs so who gives a damn about them?

 

Hobbies?

I really enjoy RPing. That's a big reason that I actually decided to make an account: the RP section. When I looked over it I saw that a lot of you were really experienced and that Mary-Sue's weren't running rampant, and that drew me in a lot. I'll be looking to check out some of the RPs soon, so if you all have any suggestions, feel free to tell me. 

 

Conclusion

I think that's about it. You never really realize how boring a person you are until you try to tell people about yourself. Since this was pretty bland, if you care enough to have a question, I'll answer just about anything that doesn't involve my SS #.

Welcome :) I'm Yui, one of the RP guys you'll probably see a fair bit of in your time here.  Zai already covered that it's the best section on YCM, so feel free to swing in whenever you want to see what's going on in there or even make an RP of your own.  Rest assured that if you do, I'll be checking it out ^_~

 

Based on your introduction thread, I have a good feeling about you as an RPer, so all that's left is to remind you to read the rules for the site and RP section if you haven't yet, get along with other members, and above all else, have a good time here.

Nice to meet all of you! Glad to have such a warm welcome... even if part of it involved being captured alive? I suppose there are worse fates.

 

@CowCow I do occasionally. I used to be a lot more into it, and tried to climb the ladder and stuff. I'm really competitive in just about any type of game I play so that is some of the most fun stuff for me. Lost a bit of interest in Pokémon after a while though and I let myself slip. Mega Evolution threw me off because of how wack some of them were and I couldn't really get back into the swing of things like I used to.

 

I'm actually looking at the RP stuff now. Expect to see an application from me somewhere or another as fast as I can read up on what I've missed and create a decent character. And don't be afraid to tear me a new one if the character is bad - don't worry, I can take it as long as it's constructive.

I do plan to use the site for its intended purpose.... eventually. I don't really have too much experience designing cards, so I'll have to look over other submissions and such before I take a crack at it.
