Each turn, 1 Level 5 or higher Fiend-Type monster you Normal Summon can be Summoned without Tributing. If exactly 1 Normal Summoned/Set Level 5 or higher Fiend-Type monster (and no other cards) would be destroyed, you can send this card to the Graveyard instead.

What people need to realize is that since this is a trap, you can quickplay drop Vanity/Majesty Fiends on your opponent's turn?

But like... wouldn't it be infinitely easier and more widely usable to just run actual Vanity's and Lose 1 Turn? You already have Escalation of the Monarchs, the field spell, why bother with this for just bypassing the use of tributes but ultimately still requiring more and having the propensity to be dead, while things like L1T exist which you can always drop and benefit from.

On top of that Escalation just generally has broader applications and works in essentially the same way, taking the ability to freely drop certain cards for the ability to summon anything in the deck so long as you've a tribute out, which isn't an issue with so much speed and searchability and even then Stormforth in a particular pinch. I can't imagine why this'd be worth running over the options which either do the job of what you'd be using this to summon by themselves, or synergise better with the deck as a whole.

No you can't.

This is written in PSCT, no colon/semi colon means the effect doesn't activate, meaning it's a condition. This isn't the same as Ultimate Offering that Normal Summons after it resolves. This only puts a condition on the field where if you Normal Summon a lvl 5 or higher Fiend, you can do it without Tributing.

idk what made you think you could use it like Ultimate Offering.

Well YGO Wiki said, it was just two continuous effects, not conditions. A difference they normally note. Are you sure we can't use this on the opponents turn?

Then again, sleepy winter so I might very well be wrong

Continuous effect or condition, it still won't work like ultimate offering. It'll only allow a tribute summon to be done without tribute, it won't actually allow you to summon as spell speed 2.

So, in today's format, what worthwhile cards can you summon with this thing?

I can only think of Vanity's, Majesty's, The End of Anubis, and Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu off the top of my head, since both incarnations of Caius only trigger upon being Tribute Summoned, and Ha Des isn't anything spectacular.
