VCR_CAT Posted March 8, 2016 Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: Each player adds 1 Level 3 or lower Normal Monster from their Deck to their hand. Came across this lil' guy when building Metalphosis to see where they are rn without all their cards. Thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
(GigaDrillBreaker) Posted March 8, 2016 Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 Since it is mandatory, it won't miss timing when used for synchro material, etc. Even so, the search is quite underwhelming. If it could get level 4, it would be able to search Master P and Vector, but as-is, it is just a tech for bad exodia decks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Expelsword Posted March 8, 2016 Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 Too slow. Metalphosis have plenty of better normal support.Still waiting on another S/T though. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
VCR_CAT Posted March 8, 2016 Author Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 Too slow? I mean, I'm not the only realizing that Metalphosis have an effect that lets you destroy a face-up card to set one of their S/T's and have plenty of Level 3 or lower normal to search, right? I mean, this is a pro-active +1 play that works with the pendulum effects and maintaining card advantage... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
(GigaDrillBreaker) Posted March 8, 2016 Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 It is a question of whether the searched card is worth the normal summon, ultimately. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Expelsword Posted March 8, 2016 Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 Ok, I admit it's not actually slow, but it seems like with ETele, Unexpected Guy, Painful Choice, and Combination (and possibly Summoner's Art), they've already got their "get monsters" down, and they need other stuff. I'll give it a try, but honestly, I imagine the next S/T reveal is going to toss it out immediately. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Blake Posted March 8, 2016 Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 We don't know everything, but it's definitely somethign to keep in mind because of a simple fact: Steeleren is Scale 8Silvbird is Scale 1 This means that, no matter the scale that pops this, it becomes the matching scale, which is pretty sweet. Besides mitigating the cost, and the fact that this is a pendulum archetype (so who cares about the NS); this does mean that this card becomes somewhat of an Insight Magician (but not really); it's a pretty useful tool when it comes into play. While Skullcrobat Joker is overvalued (Definitely amazing, but not the issue), it and Donkeys are still VERY important to Ppal, and many other Pendulum decks had similar levels of import to their NS, so this may end up outclassed due to that. It's why I think Graydle Alligator isn't a good idea, though we don't know everything. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean, my first build is a Draco one, not a P-Pal one; so the NS doesn't matter as much for what I'm trying to do. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Builds that don't, however... this becomes a pretty sweet plus. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted March 8, 2016 Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 This would be terrible in the mirror. But otherwise, you get a quick peek at your opponent's deck as they prove that they don't have a Level 3 or lower Normal Monster in their deck. Is that relevant? If it could get level 4, it would be able to search Master P and Vector, but as-is, it is just a tech for bad exodia decks. If it could get Level 4, it would be bad against Dracopals. Slinky Posted March 8, 2016 Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 If push comes to shove, you can just pendulum summon it. Supply Squad can also be pretty funny too, as would Gear Town/Meklord Fortress (moreso Geartown) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
IQuitDolphin Posted March 8, 2016 Report Share Posted March 8, 2016 You could use this to force your opponent to show his deck so you can netdeck-*shot* Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
