[Written] Neo HERO Barrier

When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target the attacking monster; negate the attack, then end the Battle Phase, and when you do, gain 1000 LP for every monster your opponent controls. You must control a face-up "HERO" monster to resolve this effect. You can activate this card from your hand.

 

As the name may imply, it's a strictly better Hero Barrier. To be honest, just having it negate the attack would generally be enough (but then you'd have to ask why are you not running Negate Attack, which does the same thing but can't be countered as much and is generic).

 

I'm really not fond of it being a hand trap; that part needs to be removed. On the fence about the LP gain though; it does punish swarm decks to an extent, but 1000 LP per monster is too much. 400-500 LP per monster should be fine.

Made changes as you advised. I more so trying to make it quite a effective card from things others would be using instead like the mirror forces in regards to the 1000 LP gain per monster but as you said 500 should work for around min: 500 ~ Max: 2500 life gain as you mentioned.

The threats are still present, so it still tends to be outclassed by Mirror Force and the like, but at least amping the negation ability of the original Hero Barrier is a nice start to pushing it back towards the raised power curve. I am not entire sure what else you can get away with to make it a HERO staple while remaining true to the Hero Barrier roots.

Still feel the 1000 would of been fine or even between that a 800 lp gain since my idea with that was applying Elemental Recharge onto this for a bit of benefit use where it works with how it can recover what you already paid with A HERO Lives (if A HERO Lives was already used) or increase how much life your left with after using A HERO Lives.
