Darj
Awakened Gishki KamiliaAttribute: WATERType: Spellcaster/Xyz/EffectRank: 4ATK: 2000DEF: 10002 Level 4 monstersWhen this card is Xyz Summoned: You can shuffle 1 random card from your opponent's hand into the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Awakened Gishki Kamilia" once per turn. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and reveal 1 card in your hand; this card gains 400 ATK and is unaffected by your opponent's cards of the same card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap) as the revealed card, until the end of your opponent's turn. Another of the cards I had in my vault.Related to Awakened Gishki Levance, this is Emilia receiving the same treatment as Avance. Fittingly, the shuffling effect is a reference to the effect of her Guskraken Ritual form, and she is intended to supplement the Rank4 cardpool with a hand disruptor, for those times there is nothing on your opponent's field to remove, or that you want to remove. Flavor bits:- Emilia received a gift from the Sacred Serpent after its wake, acquiring the ability of transforming into her Ritual form Gustkraken at will and maintaining full control of it.- Its DEF is the same as Gustraken, its ATK is the average of Gustkraken + Emilia's ATK and ot becomes the same as Gustkraken's after the boost.- The "K" in her name comes from "kraken". Thoughts and feedback, please.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Unlike mind augus or whichever gishki ritual had the hand attack, this can't be looped because of hard OPT, but that on-summon effect is still insanely oppressive. I can't really make a statement on how good the second effect is, but I really enjoy the way it is templated.
Spinny
This should not even be close to generic with 2400 attack, immunity to 1 type and especially that first effect....2 Level 4 WATERS is fairerHer second effect could then be made Spell Speed 2 if i'm honest but maybe that would be too broken
Kindrindra
My first thought was that the best form of hand-des on-summon was a bit much, but the second effect isn't particularly powerful, and on a 2000ATK body it seems fine to be honest. Put another way, it has the same power as Castel but eliminates hand advantage instead of field presence. The only issue imop is that ATK boost, which seems a bit much (2400 ATK on a generic Rk4 with no drawbacks and an extra two benefits is definitely overstepping the line). If you really want to keep the ATK boost, perhaps shift it to something like "If you control another WATER monster, this card gains 400 ATK." or maybe if it has a WATER material a la Cat Shark or Abyss Dweller. Azuriena
A generic Rank 4 does not need the effect on Xyz Summon. The Rank 4 card pool does not need a hand disruption supplement. Even if it required WATER monsters, I don't think so. I really like the second effect and I think it's sufficient, if not paired with a less powerful Xyz Summon effect. I also like that Levance/Avance and Kamilia/Emilia switch the first letters of their names (A and E) with these cards. Kramilia isn't homophonous with Camilia, but it works better in this regard? Darj
Oh, that's an interesting remark; truth be told, I hadn't noticed that about their names. And yes, being more strict with the flavor, it would have to be named "Kramilia" but I really don't like how it sounds so I went for Kamilia (Camilia) instead. No pool truly needs a hand disruptor, but it would be nice to have one. Anyway, thanks to everyone for your comments. I was hoping the card could get away with those boons considering it is practically a Castel that affects the hand instead of field, but comes with an extra +400 ATK and cute protection as bonus, but it seems it is too good. To be honest, I don't intent to change it to requiring WATER monsters, or otherwise nerf it because then it would compromise its intended flavor as a parallel of Avance/Levance, but I acknowledge it is too strong. Maybe there is another alternative for making it fair while keeping the ability of turning its ATK into 2400, the shuffling effect, and generic material requirements? Yuuji Kazami
I think that changing it so that you can only control 1 copy of the card could balance it out. It makes it a lot harder to Xyz another copy. Also, instead of simply revealing for boost and protection, change it to a discard instead? Then, you can also up the ATK boost as well.
