Target 1 Xyz monster you control. Its name becomes "Number 39: Utopia" as long as it remains face-up on the field. If that monster is used as material for an Xyz Summon, you can attach this card from your Graveyard to the summoned monster as Xyz material.

So basically give any Xyz Deck the ability to go S39, add another mat and draw cards?

 

I'm really not on board with this type of design, especially given how prevalent S39 is nowadays. Then again, Rank 4 should generally already have original Utopia in there anyway (though I guess this works if this isn't R4 spam or you don't want to devote space to running regular Utopia for the sake of S39). 

 

Can't say if this card would be any better if S39 wasn't an inherent Rank-Up or required an actual RUM to make, but as things are, this doesn't seem like a good idea.

That's a deck slot and potentially dead card (however generic it may be), for the ability to go into most Utopi- summons on a whim. I like.

I'm really getting some mixed messages here. :P

 

Anyways, the draw bit was kinda tacked on.  I think I'm gonna edit it to just leave the self-attach effect.

I'm not fond of giving S39 two shots at becoming 5000 ATK by its attach effect, given its capacity of changing ANY Xyz you want to Utopia for stuff (assuming you didn't burn out its mats for things), but at least it doesn't draw anymore. 

 

So yeah, still uncomfortable about this card as a whole.

Or yeah, go make Number 99 or something if you even bother to run RUMs.
