Guys, we're clogging the thread a bit with stuff we don't really need to. In future can we please keep posts in here limited to what's necessary? Thank you.

EDIT: I've made a Skype group for the RP in advance just to facilitate this lack of thread clogging, anyone who wants to be in it PM me your contact information.

Name: Blake Serias Thrush
Age: 22
Gender: Male-aroo

[spoiler=Physical Description]breakdance_uncolored_by_seisama.jpg

[spoiler=Physical Description Written]
Starting from the top (bottom?), Blake was born with fiery orange hair whose roots (as seen by the strands close to his forehead) turn a more burnt orange-brown that looks much more natural than what stands up on his head. The very tips of his hair are white- again, oddly enough, natural- and his hair normally sits low on his head, with it being swept into his eyes due to its length. Every now-and-again, a strand will stand straight up for no apparent reason, but mostly, whenever he's not dancing, it's hard to see his hazel eyes which are wide like a doe's, yet dull, like a tortoise's.

His nose is small and pointed, with a slight curl to it, making it look almost impish, and it gives him a dwarfish look, as it's the first thing people are able to discern of him, considering most of his face is hidden by his hair. His rounded ears are usually covered by a set of brown-red headphones that he nearly always wears, though when battling, he leaves them behind his ears. His lips are thin, and unimpressive, and rest above a cleft chin.

He has an average neck that slopes down to developed shoulders that've gained tone and definition through years of vigorous breakdancing. These connect to equally defined arms, though they aren't impressively large, it's obvious that they've seen their fair share of work. His hands are wide, and his fingers splayed, but aren't that more impressive than the average man's fingers. He loves to wear open-fingered gloves over these with little white stones in the middle of them because it makes it easier to dance and stops his soft hands from developing callouses. The bead necklace a present from his first starter Pokemon to him, and is made of various, circular knick-nacks of different shapes, sizes, and colours- though most are a soft teal or sky blue.

He wears an open-chested part-hoodie that's basically just a cloak with sleeves that he rolls up. It, of course, has a hood and back to it- which when he's dancing or standing in a light wind look like a cape- but these aren't often exemplified, since it's most noticeable that it appears he's wearing no shirt. He has a well developed chest that's also come from his frequent breakdancing, though his belly lacks this definition, and is simply smooth like marble.

He wears baggy, semi-worn tan sweatpants that he's had for forever that tighten at the waist with a built-in belt. He has strong legs that're hidden behind these trousers, and his feet are hidden in shoe-boots that're fashionable yet efficient, and brag an odd orange-brown mix that make them unique. The soles are solid black. His skin, well adjusted to the light of day, has taken on a creamy-brown colour, somewhere between milk chocolate and simply milk.

Clothing Style: Other than that, he also has a thick winter jacket he wears when he's in colder areas, along with a mesh swim bag to hold all his items and junk. Also, he's five-foot eight-inches.

[spoiler=Personality]
To be the Blake is to be one at one with the person you are, accepting what you've done and where it's brought you. Though sometimes you are quick to act, most of the time, you simply let life move around you as you make your way through it at your pace. You could do to ditch the laziness, but even if you tried, it wouldn't really harm you in the future. You take things one step at a time, and if you tried two steps, you'd end up tripping all over yourself.

You care about those around you- so long as they don't mess with your "you" time. You're quick to trust and slow to forget, and overall, are a very lovable person, with a funny enough sense of humor. Still, there's a small, irreplaceable part of you that houses your determination. And that determination, that will to complete what you've started is why you still train to this day. Though sometimes you may do things out of more base desires, you're able to find the good in what you do, and change yourself to find ways to reach that goal, rather than your previous one. You are stalwart, and yet you are fluid. You are you. You are Blake Serias Thrush.

[spoiler=Biography]
Blake was born in a faraway land, Unova, to be exact, and loved the place. While he was pretty smart, the thing loved more than anything was dancing. He tried many a time to become a professional dancer, heck, he even composed his own dance music, but he found that it just wasn't working out for him. There were too many people in the vast cities of Unova who saw dancers like him every day. So, at the age of 16, he packed his bags, and took the first boat to Oblivia, hoping to make friends there, along with making some cash off his dancing routine.

And sure enough it paid off. He was (and still is) a well-known break dancer in Oblivia, and it's rare to find someone who hasn't at least heard of him once or twice. He still lived on the street, as he only got money from the generosity of others who gave him tips. One day, he was invited to dance in a club where they were playing his music, and when they realized they couldn't pay them, as their club was quite poor, the owner gave him his first Pokemon- Pupil the Nincada. Along with this, he payed him with a beautiful white, green, and red egg. He graciously accepted, and through vigorous training, his Nincada evolved into a Ninjask and a Shedinja named Obo.

Despite this, however, he was still unsatisfied. Sure, he was a great dancer, but he was slowly learning just how difficult it was to support oneself just on dancing. So, despite his love for the art, he had to abandon it as a form of breadwinning, and instead, he focused his time on becoming a better and better Pokemon trainer. The only way he knew how to do so, would be by returning to his home region of Unova. There he trained for many years on end, catching only a few, sole Pokemon he felt a connection to. He was always a big fan of Bug Pokemon, so when he managed to come across Accel, he was extremely excited. While the Shedinja wasn't too pleased to be caught by him, he was willing to comply, if he could get him to evolve. Thankfully, he was able to by trading him to a stranger named Simon. However, this stranger tried to leave him with his Pokemon- Escavalier- since he preferred the feisty nature of Accel to his Escavalier's more closed-off nature. But, before he could get very far, he was stopped by a pair of Pokemon- both of whom are seldom seen in Unova: an Infernape, and a Larvesta. It appeared they were traveling together for some unknown reason, that to this day Blake has failed to figure out. Still, they stopped the thief, the respective Pokemon were returned to their owners, an all went their separate ways. All, that is, besides Blake. For some time, he stalked the Infernape and Larvesta, until he was able to corner them in the Relic Passage. It appeared they were headed to the Relic Castle, but that didn't matter to Blake. He wanted to catch those Pokemon! So, of course, he engaged them in battle. However, he was surprised and horrified to find how horrifically powerful the Infernape was, as he was able to defeat all of his Pokemon in one punch.

As he stalked off to clean his wounds, Blake heard stories about an extremely rude prankster Pokemon that was bombarding lovers who were resting outside Chargestone Cave with some kind of foul purple liquid. Figuring he'd solve this problem easy enough by catching the Pokemon, he took his bugs with him into the cave, until he could hunt down the Pokemon: a Pansear. He almost laughed it off, until it nearly blasted his head off with a Gunk Shot. It was then he decided that it would make a powerful ally, and more importantly, a powerful opponent for that Infernape. So, after a short two-on-one battle between Pupil, Obo, and the wild Pokemon, he was able to catch her, and name the Pansear "Euly". He didn't hold off her evolution for long, as she already knew some powerful moves (everything barring Superpower), and he was able to teach her Sunny Day through his TM. After that, he figured he was set to catch that Infernape and Larvesta.

He found the Infernape outside the deepest chamber of the Relic Castle, apparently guarding it. It was a long match between Euly and the Infernape, but thanks to her Gunk Shot, she was able to beat the Infernape. However, their jovial response only lasted but a few moments, as they were soon assaulted by a Volcarona. It appeared that the Larvesta had been brought here from Arceus knows where by the Infernape solely so it could undergo evolution, as was the tradition with all Volcarona. Her Fiery Dance alone completely wiped out his team, with little to no effort on her part. However, just as he thought he would be slain, the Volcarona spared him. It appeared that she'd taken a liking to him and his persistence. Though the Infernape was hesitant to join Blake's party, he'd followed the Volcarona everywhere else, and if she wished to join this human on his adventure, then he'd follow her there, too. After some thought, he decided to name them Mel and Hel- similar names for best friends, he figured.

Blake went some time without catching a single Pokemon. However, after clearing the Gym Circuit in Unova, but having no interest in the Elite 4 and Alder, he was looking for a new challenge. Supposing that Sinnoh seemed like an interesting challenge (the cold being the opposite that his Bugs and Fire Pokemon would like), he decided to travel there with his team. There, he caught an interesting Pokemon: Kricketot. Though he'd normally never add it to his team, as to not disrupt the synergy, due to the cold and the lack of protection on his body, Accel had gotten sick. Knowing he'd have to have a full-power team, he decided to train up that Kricketot. Though she was the weakest member of the team (Obo not included), he valued her, and trained her far into her evolution- Kricketune- and taught her the best he could. Still, she was more of a traveling companion than anything, and when Accel got better, he decided to keep her around, but not battle with her. After all, she helped him dance by providing beautiful or sad music (Sing vs. Perish Song), and was generally a brilliant Pokemon to keep around.

Again, he went on for a while without catching another Pokemon. However, upon reaching Celestic, he discovered a hermit with a Scizor, who claimed to have once been the strongest Bug-type Trainer, back in her day. In disbelief he battled her, only for her to reveal a power that even surpassed his Volcarona: Mega Evolution. After her Megavolution, Mallory (the hermit's Scizor) completely blew him away. Though he was bitter, he treated the hermit with respect, and promised to bring pack a Pokemon that could surpass even her Megamon.

This Pokemon would be the legendary Oolag, or as he was called in the Survival Zone, "The Monster of Stark Mountain". Though just a puny Slugma when Blake first found him, when he tried to approach him, the Slugma was able to command the magma itself, almost killing him. If Euly hadn't been as fast as she was, he'd have been melted into a Thrush puddle. He spent weeks hunting down "The Monster", constantly trying to peacefully approach him, but failing each time as he tried to melt him. After nearly a month, the Slugma was too tired of running and commanding magma to stop Blake from approaching him. After a short (hands-free) investigation, Blake was able to discover the issue: it appeared that, somehow, the Slugma had gotten a piece of metal stuck into its foot, and that annoying shard of steel (or whatever it was) refused to come out, making Oolag's life miserable. After he removed the piece of metal (with Muse's help, since she was able to calm Oolag with her Sing attack), Oolag was once again a happy little slug, and wouldn't stop following Blake. It was at this moment that he realized that he'd found the Pokemon that would lead him to be able to defeat the hermit's Megamon. So, right then and there, he captured Oolag, and prepared to head back to the hermit.

Unfortunately, in the time he was gone, the hermit had passed away, much to his and Mallory's distraught. However, she'd left both him and Mallory a goodbye letter should this unfortunate event occur. She specifically stated that her rules still stood: should he be able to defeat Mallory in single combat, then Mallory and her Mega Stone (and the hermit's Mega Earring) would be his. Knowing that only Oolag could beat this Pokemon, he sent the tiny slug out to face the Scizor. After immediately Mega Evolving (supposedly with the hermit's spirit as a conduit for the evolution), the battle was looking to be in Mallory's favour. However, just as he was tob be defeated, Oolag evolved- from a slug into a snail- and a whole new level of power was achieved by the Magcargo. In one, incredible blast, he released all the heat from his body, completely blowing Mallory away in that one attack: Overheat. She stood no chance. And, after a short goodbye to her old master, she joined Blake's party as his ninth and final traveling companion.

Though it's rare for him to use Mallory, Oolag, or Muse in battle, he loves traveling with them (and his starters) out. They're his most peaceful Pokemon (barring Hel), and his favourite. While checked into a Pokemon Center for the night, he received an... interesting invitation. He himself was no stranger to tournaments- he had won a couple back in Unova, but hadn't gotten to participate yet in a Sinnoh tourney. The idea piqued his interest, and he made his way to Sunnyshore, quite ready to see what this whole "Blackdragon Isle" business was about.

Okay, I still need an image because I just cannot find one I like, but here we go!

Name: Harrison Anthony Taylor

Age: 27

Gender: Male, don't let his haircut fool you

[spoiler=Physical Description]

Link to image: https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQOwopjp1zpnACCzwWAtpB4RvhaagUON8Ec28RhLrKcQBjhR-vMIQ

When most people look at Harrison, they usually see a secluded snob, due in part to his shoulder-length straight brown hair, combed and maintained to nigh-immaculate sheen. It doesn't really help that his intelligent cobalt eyes (and thus all his attention) are often buried in a book or role-playing game- his natural quietness is often mistaken for a total dislike of people in general. His nose, while not beakish, is a rather prominent feature on his face: broken across the bridge from training Greataxe through his more aggressive stages in life, it still manages to carry an air of dignity that its owner doesn't truly deserve. While he eschews a mustache for practicality reasons, he keeps a simple, short beard so that his long hair and thin frame don't get him mistaken for a woman.

He doesn't have a very long neck- it looks considerably longer than it is due both to it being rather thin and his shoulders having a slight downward slope to them. His frame looks generically skinny due to how his charcoal-gray suit (with mint-green shirt and accompanying black tie) hangs on him; however, he does in fact have a fair bit of lean muscle from favoring mountain climbing and absurd amounts of walking during his teenage years.

Harrison is rather tall, at 6'2"/1.88 m, and about half of that is in his legs. He typically wears charcoal-gray slacks to complete his suit, as well as shined black shoes.

Side notes- He will dress down for various situations, usually involving needing to travel through an area that would damage his suit. Being of decent means, he has more casual clothing, and keeps a full-body swimsuit and a snow parka in his luggage just in case. Everything he owns covers him up quite a bit due to how uncomfortable he is with his own pallor, and most of it is coordinated in his three favorite colors: Gray, black, and green.

[spoiler=Personality]

Harrison prides himself on being rather moderate and a voice of reason, preferring not to take sides when people or Pokémon argue. However, this isn't due to any real mediating skill- he actually just dislikes conflict, and will go out of his way to avoid it when unnecessary. This isn't to say he's not competitive- he loves the thrill of a good, clean contest- but only when there are defined rules and boundaries.

He's always been rather clean-cut, and honest to a fault: he would honestly rather starve than steal, and he abhors cheating or outright lies. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, he excels at misdirection- not giving direct answers, feints, and unexpected tactics are his bread and butter in competitive arenas of all kinds.

With his Pokémon, Harrison displays uncanny amounts of sheer patience in balancing their wants and needs, and is generally attentive, but this is only due to the years of time he's had to know them all from the ground up, to understand their quirks and comprehend their natures to the point where he feels actually comfortable around them.

Underneath it all, he's rather insecure and afraid to voice his own opinions, and he's uncomfortable in his own pale skin. Because of this, he's nowhere near as confident with risks in interpersonal interaction as he is just simply pressing himself to do well in competition- he generally prefers getting a feel for others' reactions and thoughts before speaking up, himself.

However, most people will never know any of this about him, due to how simply reserved the man is- with few exceptions, he won't approach others, instead preferring the solitude of a good novel, or the multi-hour RPG adventures he keeps in the inside breast pockets of his suit.

[spoiler=Bio]

Harrison has been on the move from a very young age, bring shipped this way and that so often he doesn't exactly remember his birthplace, however he generally assumes he was born in Unova due to his oldest friend and partner being Greataxe, an Axew that has spent the majority of their lives evolving up to a Haxorus.

Due to his parents being busy keeping PokéMarts the world over up to standard, little Harrison was often alone with Greataxe most of the day, so the two would often read and train together for hours on end, depending on where they were.

Around when Harrison turned thirteen, Greataxe evolved into a Fraxure and became increasingly reckless and restless, so the adult Taylors began demanding the two "stretch their legs" for longer and longer periods of time, until teenage Harrison was spending more time walking with Greataxe on routes not too far from their various hotels in a week than with his parents in a year.

It was on one of these excursions that the two encountered a Feebas and, after a little contemplating, decided to add the helplessly floundering fish to their little group. She was given the name Aara, and it suited her well.

Later that same year, on a trip near Sinnoh's Mt. Coronet, the little crew was quick to find a Bronzor merely floating around, and Greataxe made short work of combat with the living metal disc . . . but Harrison made a judgment call, and decided to throw a Pokéball. Due to his knowledge of Bronzong as a Pokémon, he decided to call Bronzor "Belltower" to give it a name to grow into.

His expanding team of Pokémon between trips went noticed by his parents, who permitted him to go on a journey through the presumably safer Hoenn region, accompanied by one new member to his expanding team: a recently-bred, stat-idealized Charmander, who Harrison christened Lernaeus- an intimidating name for an intimidating Pokémon, as a Fire-Type that was entirely no-nonsense.

His journey underway, Harrison successfully evolved Belltower into a Bronzong and Lernaeus into a formidable Charizard in his explorations and Gym challenges before meeting a Lileep, abandoned on the roadside and left with a bad case of poisoning. Naturally, the teenager consulted Greataxe, who had begun to mellow as he grew older, and they agreed to take in the little Grass-Type. Jokingly, he referred to her as a Marlboro, but the name stuck as time went by.

However, it was nearly a month later, near Fortree City, that Harrison encountered his newest teammate: An Absol, just as quiet and reserved as himself. She protected herself quickly, seeing Harrison and the team as a threat to her safety, but eventually some wearing down from Lernaeus, Marlboro, and Belltower slowed her down enough to be caught. Due to the reputation of Absol, and the sleekness of the Dark-Type, he provided the name Cassandra, and she accepted it graciously.

The journey continued, leaving little doubt that the assembled team would challenge the Elite Four, especially as Aara became a beautiful Milotic and Marlboro a dangerous Cradily, but . . . then what? It became clear shortly after beating Wallace that, if and when Harrison became Champion of Hoenn, this sense of freedom in traveling would stop. Thus, surreptitiously, the now-17-year-old Harrison boarded a ferry through the Sevii Islands, eventually arriving in Kanto. This second journey was less about challenge and power than it was simple exploring for no better reason, traveling together and becoming greater for it.

It was on this second leg of the journey that Harrison caught a Gastly, who took a liking to being called Spectre.

The travels continued, battling freely and ferrying across regions, making good money from occasional tournaments here and there, during which time Spectre became a Haunter, and after years of training and cooperation, Greataxe finally became a mighty Haxorus.

This human and his seven Pokémon have accumulated a small fortune in tournament rewards and a few intelligent investments, and have yet to cease their quiet travels . . . although they have discovered that Harrison's parents have long since given up on finding the young man, a definite plus.

[spoiler=Trivia and Miscellaneous]

Harrison favors RPGs, usually, but he does keep Tetris and mobile hacks of Soulcalibur and StarCraft in his pocket with his other games.

As a bit of a geek, he makes references to novels and video games rather frequently in casual conversation.

If he's nervous, Harrison will call out Cassandra to sense for impending disaster just to verify that his mind isn't playing tricks on itself.

Harrison paid a guy in Unova to make an add-on for his handheld that reads TM-format discs. He doesn't usually use it, and it typically stays in his luggage with the TM case itself.

[spoiler=Abigail Summers~]

zbxpA8i.png

“Let's show 'em the strength of our bond!”

Name: Abigail Summers

Age: 20

Gender: Female

[spoiler=Physical Description]

NSEjtbg.jpg

Abigail stands at a cute 5'2 (160cm) and weights 110 pounds (50 kg).

[spoiler=Personality]

 Having been the poster girl for her mother's Day Care, Abigail developed a cheerish, happy-go-lucky personality. She's never had trouble with befriending people, although she always says a person's as good as they are with their Pokemon, which means she can form a serious grudge with trainers who abuse their partners or treat them like anything less than a good friend.

Despite trying to hide it, Abigail's a born pessimist, always relying on her Pokemon and friends to cheer her on after a defeat. Stress builds up quickly on her, usually causing her to lash out at whatever's nearby once pushed too far.

In battle, her Pokemon trust in her leadership, yet she is known to let them act on their own free will at times, which makes her able to change her fighting style in a pinch, as well as making her extremely unpredictable.

[spoiler=Biography]

 Abigail lived a quiet life with her parents most of her childhood. Her mother ran the Day Care, and the young girl loved spending time with the Pokemon, forming a special bond with them. With her father's Eevee, who she had nicknamed 'Michy' and had also grown attached to her, they spent most of their days playing with Pokemon and taking care of them. The trainers loved the young girl and always praised her, telling Abigail that she could be a great trainer if she wanted.

Not every Pokemon was so fond of her, however. One of the senior residents in the Day Care, a sickly Farfetch'd, didn't seem to care for any human other than his trainer, who had apparently abandoned him. Still Farfetch'd behaved most of the time, as he usually played with Eevee. One fateful night, however, the flying Pokemon suddenly escaped into the woods, looking for the trainer that left him. Her parents not at home, Abigail had to chase after the Pokemon alone, her father having taken Michy with him.

Exhausted, hours passed until Abigail found the runaway Pokemon, although not in the state she'd hoped; beaten up and bruised, he was barely standing by resting his body on his leek. Abigail rushed to his aid and came face to face with the perpetrator of the damage to Farfetch'd: a rampaging Ursaring on all fours, preparing itself for another attack. The young and frail girl flinged a nearby stone at the bear Pokemon without doubting it, earning its attention. Knowing they couldn't run away, Abigail pleaded with the Farfetch'd to help her and, unknowingly, held her first battle against a wild Pokemon. The teamwork her and Farfetch'd demonstrated was amazing, managing to force the Ursaring to run in fear.

Not everything was fine and dandy, however. The next morning, when Farfetch'd was taken to a Pokemon Center, its wounds were deemed too deep and, coupled with its old age, it took but a couple of days for the Pokemon to perish. Abigail was filled with mixed emotions; the thrill of the Pokemon Battle filled her with joy, yet she was also extremely furious at the trainer that abandoned that old Pokemon, and at every trainer that mistreats theirs by extension. Knowing that feeling bad would fix nothing, she decided to embark on her own adventure as a trainer, carrying Michy with her to keep her company, her mission being to become a famous trainer and advocate for the rights of abused Pokemon everywhere.

Abigail's kindness and bond with her Pokemon rapidly turned her and her team into a rising star, beating the gyms in her region and placing highest in a myriad of tournaments across all regions. Now 20 years old, Abigail got a letter of invitation to the Blackdragon Isle. Without even thinking about it, she took off to the island with her team.

Moves: Poison Jab – Drain Punch – Earthquake – Stealth Rock

Info: Caught as a Palpitoad in the coasts of Unova, Goliath has proven a nasty opponent to get over, his damaging moveset coupled with his bulk make him specially tricky to get over. He loves swimming, and is actually quite lazy outside of battle (sometimes, even in battle). However, he'll always do his best for Abigail. Or a good meal.

[spoiler=Mush]

Species: Breloom

Nickname: Mush
Nature: Impish
Gender: Female
Ability: Technician
Moves: Spore – Bullet Seed – Mach Punch – Protect

Info: Mush was gifted to Abigail as a Shroomish by her previous owner. She was always fiesty and the poor man couldn't really control her. In due time, and after going through some hardships together, Abigail and Mush became good friends and teammates, although the Pokemon still likes playing pranks on her trainer once in a while. In battle, Mush's style is aggressive and relentless.

[spoiler=Kana]

Species: Milotic

Nickname: Kana
Nature: Sassy
Gender: Female
Ability: Marvel Scale
Moves: Scald – Haze – Ice Beam – Recover

Info: Kana was caught recently in Hoenn, in a deep trench Goliath had to learn Dive just to get near. She is elegant and prideful, to the point of getting a real bad case of the blues when losing a battle, as well as getting really cocky when winning one. Her style revolves around attacking from the Haze, where opponents can't counterattack, and then Recover if they ever get to her, effectively whittling them down without much risk.

[spoiler=Long]

Species: Eelektross

Nickname: Long
Nature: Quiet
Gender: Male
Ability: Levitate
Moves: Volt Switch – Flamethrower – HP Ice – Thunderbolt

Info: Abigail caught this Pokemon in Unova, in the same trip where she met her Seismitoad. He doesn't like socializing much, yet always seems to be concentrated. When in battle, he has a good type coverage with his fire, ice and electric moves.

[spoiler=Fluffy]

Species: Ninetales

Nickname: Fluffy

Nature: Bold

Gender: Female

Ability: Drought

Moves: Solar Beam – Iron Tail – Flame Charge – Dig

Info: Abigail raised this Pokemon from a really low level as a Vulpix, having barely hatched from an egg. Fluffy always did her best in battles, wishing to become as strong as the rest of Abigail's team. Now a Ninetales, she still thrives in battle, giving her 110% against any foe. Dig and Flame Charge make her really hard to pin down, darting across the battlefield for a chance to close in and attack.

[spoiler=Tag Buddies!]

Species: Hitmontop

Nickname: N/A
Nature: Jolly
Gender: Male
Ability: Intimidate
Moves: Fake Out – Wide Guard – Close Combat – Earthquake

Info: Abigail hasn't had the opportunity to spend much time with this Pokemon. Not knowing the details of the Blackdragon Isle tournament, and fearing she might have to participate in Double Battles, Abigail captured this Pokemon and Misdreavus. He does seem to be awfully happy most of the time, tho.

------

Species: Misdreavus

Nickname: N/A
Nature: Timid
Gender: Female
Ability: Levitate
Moves: Trick Room – Will-O-Wisp – Taunt – Pain Split

Info: Abigail hasn't had the opportunity to spend much time with this Pokemon. Not knowing the details of the Blackdragon Isle tournament, and fearing she might have to participate in Double Battles, Abigail captured this Pokemon and Hitmontop. She does seem to be awfully shy most of the time, tho.

[spoiler=This exists]

Name: Reno Hikari
Age: 20
Gender: Male

[spoiler=Physical Description]RYAFrvF.jpg?1

Height: 6'1
Weight: 190 pounds

[spoiler=Personality]Reno is very quiet, keeping a stone face, only occasionally showing bursts of sadness and anger. He is also not afraid to make threats to get what he wants, nor is he afraid to follow through said threats. He does have morals, however, and will never cross that line.

He is very blunt, never afraid to speak his mind, no matter how insulting his words are. Combined with his cold demeanor, it can be hard to approach him. Those that manage to, however, will see he is just a depressed soul locking away all his pain inside.

He seems to have a very strong big brother instinct, as he can not let a young or small person be bullied or wronged. Doing this in front of him is one of the easiest ways to enrage him, and if he is enraged, he will not stop fighting until he made the person suffer.

[spoiler=Biography]

Reno is a first generation trainer, as the rest of his family had always done the mundane things in life, like run a store, or drive a boat. Reno wanted to prove that he to could become a great Pokemon trainer, unlike his family before him, so he went on a journey at the tender age of ten, with only a Feraligatr by his side to travel across Johto.

However, he learned that he was not exactly the best trainer. What he lacked in skill however, he made up with heart and an open mind. After five years of trial and error, he managed to gather all eight badges of Jotho, his team expanding into a five man team. Realizing that no, there was no way he could defeat the Elite Four, he jumped on a boat, (sailed by his cousin no less) all the way to Unova. There, he managed to get the eight badges in that region as well, also upgrading his team to a eight man team.

After the two years it took to accomplish that, he took a boat to Kalos, managing to beat three gyms, before being given something called a 'Mega Evolution Ring', which he discovered can force his Tyranitar to evolve even further. He decided to abandon his gym trial, instead entering small tournaments to test his newfound might. Three years later, he received a letter inviting him to Blackdragon Isle...

[spoiler=Iori Takeda - White Haired Samurai of Ecruteak]

69rNloY.png

"I follow the path that's laid out before me by the code of Bushido. My Pokémon and I act under this principle. Prepare yourself!"

x393wz.jpg

Personal Information

x393wz.jpg

Name: Iori Takeda

Age: 22

Gender: Male

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Appearance:]

13521ba6dd6cfdbb25207c9296c482ca.jpg

Depicted above is Iori's physical appearance. However, he does not wear the suit (at least not as much). His normal attire consists of this, along with him carrying on the left side of his waist, his bokken. His Keystone for Konoha happens to be lodged in a fingerless glove that he wears on his right hand.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:]

As someone who lives by the code known as Bushido, Iori is a very chivalrous young man. He isn't quick to judge others or even the opponent's he faces, quite the contrary. He respects them as he sees each and every opponent as a new challenge that will only help him hone his skills even further, as his sensei showed him how to view these situations. The Pokemon which he has come across in his journey have even seen this selfless young man as a true friend, as even some will want to spar and train with him when they can.

x393wz.jpg
[spoiler=Biography:]
"My story isn't as grand as others, but it will be one day!"

Iori grew up in the region of Johto in the peaceful city known as Ecruteak where both the Burned and Tin Towers stood in their respective locations. He, like most people, paid his respects to the two Pokemon that used to perch themselves onto the two towers: Ho-oh and Lugia. Though unlike the other children in the city who loved their dear Ghost Pokemon, Iori was fascinated by the Pokemon who were like the samurai of old...how they were quick, agile, swift with their strikes and even more. As his fascination of these sorts of Pokemon grew, there came an old man who moved into the city, beginning to teach people Kendo...and when he heard this, he was all for it. Iori joined his dojo and started to excel in the trainings of the sword, as his sensei knew he would. It wasn't long until the old man could no longer teach Iori anymore and passed his legacy to this shining pupil of his. He gave him the wooden bokken that had been passed down in his family and a lone Pokeball. Inside this Pokeball held a Shiny Eevee, named Kage. Taking these with great humbleness and thanks, he watched the old man leave Ecruteak.

However, he himself refused to teach in the dojo as he was. Iori closed the dojo for a time and began his own Pokémon journey, in order to find himself and even put everything his sensei into action. His eyes were headed straight for Hoenn and the tale of the "White Haired Samurai of Ecruteak" began.

Even though Iori took his sensei's teachings to heart, it wasn't enough to beat the Hoenn league. Regardless, Iori returned home and was welcomed back with the highest honors. It was then, with his newly evolved Umbreon, by his side he opened the dojo once more and began to pass on his sensei's teachings to others.

A few years passed and Iori received an interesting letter inviting him to a tournament on Blackdragon Isle hosted by the rich Roderick Noble outside of Sunnyshore City in Sinnoh. Both, unsure about this and even excited to be invited to a tournament such as this, Iori set off once more, putting his best student in charge of the dojo while he was gone.

Other Information

Iori's Theme | Iori's Battle Theme (Alternative) | Iori Access Konoha's Mega Form

  • The Ecruteak Trainer's name has the following meanings - Iori: A meaning hasn't exactly been found, but it is a personal Japanese and Welsh name. Takeda: Bamboo rice paddy. It is also good to mention that "Takeda" was also a samurai clan in the "Sengoku Period".
  • Due to Iori's samurai motif, his Pokémon's names are in short, Japanese and reflect the culture.
  • Iori's bokken is made of shrapnel of old Trevenant wood, which makes it a quite durable piece of equipment.

You know what, given all that's going on, I guess now's as good a time as any to say that I'm going to be dropping this.

My apologies, but given that I RP on other sites, make cards, review cards, along with try to balance school and friends, this has just been a drag on my life. (Not in a terribly hindering way, but it's bad enough.)

So yeah. Sorry about this, Fatyl, but I'm out. As far as the foreseeable future stands, I'm gone. I don't plan on coming back, so you're free to, like, have my character get so damn sick that he can't participate, or whatever.

Have fun, the rest of ya'll. Hope you enjoy your wins/losses to their fullest extent!
