JessicaMuddy
You can substitute this card for any 1 Fusion-Material Monster. When you do this, the other Fusion-Material Monster(s) must be the correct one(s). So this topic is less about this card and more about Fusion Substitutes in general. Do they still have the potential to be useful, even now that there's Fusions that require non-specific materials?
The Warden
The only really worthwhile one is King of the Swamp, simply because it DOES something beyond being a fusion substitute.
Toffee.
Not that anyone might care, but.... When I made that Fuzzy Paws Archetype, I had This card in-mind, and kinda' sorta' made everything around it. Oh, and Sheep #1 + Sheep #2 = Fusionist, which is pretty amusing in its own right. notcleverusername
I don't think Fusion subs have ever been relevant in any deck but in random funcasual stuff they actually have surprising utilityKing of the Swamp most obvious helps solve problems of having too many Fusion Material vs too few Fusion Spells and vice-versa but Versago had a pretty strong niche for a while thanks to Tour Guide letting it both enable Grave Fusion cards and gaining access to the incredibly helpful r3 pool
Darj
Yeah, I was about to mention Versago as well after reading the OP. IIRC it saw a bit of play, at the very least at a casual or rogue level, along TGU and Miracle Fusion-ish Spells. As for Mystical Sheep #1... IDK, I suppose its traits of Level3 EARTH/Beast may come in handy someday?
Toffee.
Realistically speaking, Prisma is the only good Fusion Sub.Case in point, it actually copies names, which makes it far more useful. 'Cept the problem with that, really, is that Fusions have been moving away from Materials with exact names, and are sticking to sub-groups of things to make them pseudo-generic. 玄魔の王
Fusion Subs used to lack the "other materials must be correct" clause before the TCG came into being. They were much deadlier then. Also the original JP King of the Swamp could search every Poly in your Deck.
