The Nyx Avatar
Pendulum Effect:Once per turn: You can change 1 face-up Attack Position monster to face-down Defense Position. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card; draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect of "Manifestation of Grace" once per turn. Monster Effect:During your Main Phase: You can return 1 card in 1 of your occupied Pendulum Zones to your hand, and if you do, place this card in that Pendulum Zone. You can Tribute this card: Gain 1000 Life Points.
Darj
So it's a generic deck thinner akin to an Upstart but with hard OPT clause, whose monster form can bounce a Pendulum Monster in an scale for you to reuse (e.g. Monkeyboard) AND then place itself in the Pendulum Zone for an extra card draw? Sorry, but personally I'm not a big fan of this and I cannot but suspect it would become a problematic card. I mean, Upstart got limited for a reason. Granted, this does have a hard OPT in its drawing effect so it cannot speed up a deck as triple Upstart did, but it is still generic draw power. At the very least, I see it becoming the next Upstart with the perk of enabling Pendulum Summons (along an appropriate opposite scale for the deck, of course). Not to mention it further backs you up with the non-targeting BoM effect. As for its Tribute effect, it's not strong IMO but is cute to have around as it allows you to place the card in your Extra Deck if you cannot Synchro/Xyz Summon with it nor place it in a Pendulum Zone with its other effect. Unlike you I am seeing it as problematic, it is for basicly being a completely free thinning + BoM, there is no way that any deck would not be forced to play it, which by default makes it broken. I suggest adding a clause that requires another occupied pend zone, so that it is not all that generic (maybe even having a "only 1 effect during that turn" to make it less extreme), though I have to admit I like the concept behind it. Hmm? It seems you misunderstood what I wrote, because I stated that I indeed found this card problematic.

Darj
Oh nvm then, I assumed you stated you would suspect it, however it would not be directly apparent. Hmm... you are right, I indeed was misleading. But the message I intended to get across was that the card would be problematic with the drawing effect alone, and then the BoM effect and its other perks push it further.
