Resident Fascist
SERIOUS: Ok. (thought it was iowa :P i dont know my KCs well) Yes, the ship that was named after USS Enterprise CV-6. The ship with the most Battle stars of any nation during WW2. A ship receives a battle star for each major battle she took part in. Enterprise earned 21 Battle Stars for her service, a presidential unit citation, which is pretty much the highest honour a naval unit can receive, the only other unit in the Pacific War to my knowledge to receive a PUC was TAFFY 3, an escort fleet that came up against the Japanese Centre Force at Leyte Gulf, 6 Escort Carriers, 3 Destroyers and 4 Destroyer escorts vs several Battleships, Heavy Cruisers and Light Cruisers. With small help from sister groups TAFFY 1 and TAFFY 2, they managed to sink several much larger Japanese ships, inflict minor damage to Yamato, Chikuma and several other ships, and force the Centre Force to turn back for Japan. USS Enterprise, CV-6, 1944.
